How long does it take your hair to airdry?

How many hours (or days) does it take your hair to completely airdry? And what is your hair length?

ETA: How do you airdry your hair?? I use the scarf method and I just pin my hair up underneath or put my hair in a bun.

Depends on how I wear my hair. If I wear it out, it takes about an hour, maybe two at the most. My hair is BSL, but more importantly, its very porous.

Gosh my hair takes a full 24 hrs to air dry if its loose. It dries on the outside but not in the middle. If I put it in a bun while its wet, it can stay wet for days. I'm WL now. I think once I got past BSL is when air drying started to be a problem.

^^^Same here. I did a wng today for the first time in ages at 9am, when I rinsed my hair to put it in twists at 9p it was still wet in the middle. I'm just past APL.

23 long damp hours if unmanipulated and my hair is not full apl, but get low porous. If I band it it can dry overnight

I don't ever have it dry out. On average 12-15 hours. I'm chin length in the front and nearly APL in the back.

My hair is porous too. I'm a little past SL and it takes 4-5 hours for my hair to fully dry. I airdry using a scarf.

My hair is porous so it used to dry instantly, about 30min or less. Thanks to healthy care w/protein treatments and moisture, now it takes hours (yay!)

Not sure if being relaxed changes things...it takes 2.5 hours for my hair to fully dry with my hair hanging down (a little leave in and a little oil). I'm just touching bsl. I've discovered that after 1 to 2 hours respectively I can put on a sock cap or a couple bantu knots and tie it down and it will be dry in the morning.

Totally depends on what products I have in my hair, so it's relative. But my naked hair takes some hours to dry (I'm talking soaking wet to all the way dry), and my product loaded hair takes 24+ hours.

My hair takes anywhere from 1-2 hrs to air dry in my usual wet pony. I also use a scarf to tie it down while it's wet and remove for smooth, stretched easily manageable ( and stylable if I cared!) hair.

With factoring low porosity and varying temps inside the house during change of seasons...
Summer 1-2 hours
Winter 2-3+ hours
ETA Length: BSL/MBL

It takes me at least 3 hours on my relaxed APL hair, more if I over do it on the products (of which I have a bad habit). I do the scarf method and let it hang loose.

If I airdry loose it takes 3-4 hours. More like 4 to get the roots dry. If I do braids it takes 12-15 hours. :perplexed

Probably about 90 minutes. I let is airdry every night (with kimmaytube leave in) and after about 60 minutes I put a scarf on it. Sometimes I wake up and the back is still a little damp.

My hair is neck length stretched.

i once put my hair into braids after my cowash ........ NONO! it took like 1 day and the next evening to dry...and im not even collar bone length 0_o... hmm...gonna try some of the tips mentioned in the bglh website ^_^!

Depends where I am...in my place then it takes 72 hours. No joke! If I wash my hair and then take a drive to the store, 20 to 30 minutes. I'm some where floating in between MBL and WL at the moment.

Oh and I just let it hang loose. I don't tie it up or anything while air drying.

It depends on the style for me as well, but I will say on average it takes about 12+ hours for my hair to completely air dry. I am NL

I "wash" my hair almost every other day. Then I stick it in two ponytails to get mostly dry. That can take anywhere from 8-12 hours depending on how warm it is outside. I'm all natural grazing APL

It takes about 24 hrs. to dry completely. I use the scarf method with my hair in twisted pigtails.

4b relaxed
Past collarbone length
