Hi Ladys,

How long do you keep your braids or twists in before you notice growth.
I have had my braids in for around 11 days and i am so bored.

I know i need to keep them in for at least a month, they cost a bomb..:wallbash:

The normal life time for keeping braids in is about 6 -8 weeks.. (aprox. 2 months..)
But even within the 2 to 3 weeks you'll see growth. If you go to http://www.groafrohairlong.com . It can tell you tips on how to take care of braids while in that style.

Did you do your hair with extensions or without?

I did individual tree braids - with human hair because the other stuff dries our my hair and i know i could have rinsed it in vinegar before hand but that is sooooooo long lol.

I use human hair and I am constantly redoing my braids (one at a time as I am able) and it seems there's always a braid needing redoing--I have major Hand-in-Hair Disease. I don't know if it is growth or just the human hair sliding (I wash my hair at least twice a week), but I don't even focus on that. I prefer to ignore those little details aiming to just get the braids looking neat again and then just get my surprise one day when I happen to notice a length I didn't know I had.

What Triggers Hand-in-Hair Disease

I'm sorry I don't know how long it takes to get that growth since it's rare that I get all braids neat at the same time so can't really tell when I redid which braid. Plus it could just be human hair sliding. *shrug*

I think you more see slippage (if you wash constantly) than you would growth. Personally i never see growth
