How long do you keep braids in before braid out?

Just curious

I've seen some amazing braid outs, i'm taking my cornrows down this weekend and wanted to try a braid out before doing them up again, but i'm wondering how long I should leave the braids in for before trying this style?

Also, my hair is in wave nouveau so technically is already curly, but i'd still like to try it.

I leave mine in overnight and rebraid again the next night for 2 or 3 days, then wash and start over.

You should start with wet or damp hair. Then wait until your hair is dry.

Either overnight or until they are completely dry.

I leave mine in overnight. I never leave the house in braids.

I leave mine in for a day... so I may do them friday night do chores saturday into the afternoon and take it out before I go out that night

I leave them in overnight or until I leave the house. I'm a stay at home mom so sometimes its 2 days before I have to go anywhere.
