I have met my goal. My goal this year wasnt just to gain length but to learn what products work with my hair. My hair always felt dry no matter what moisturizer I used. The crown area was always dry and crunchy. I have finally found a system of products that work for me. My hair finally feels moisturized and strong.
My hair is now shiny, strong and moistuized. I have found that working out and drinking water ( I know, I am late) is what inspires growth spurts. This is what it's about.

Now that I have found that doing these things together works; I am back on the length quest. I know that now barring any unforseen obstacles, I should be on my way to waist length by Spring.

I had breakage at the beginning of the year and ended up cutting my hair to neck length. I am now between SL and APL. (my starting point before I cut my hair). My goal was to get control of my breakage, which I met. I didn't set a length goal but I'm happy that I returned to my starting point.

ETA: My next goal is to stay away from the scissors except for regular dustings. I have a bad habit of cutting my hair.

I didn't really have a length goal. I did reach several goals that I'm extremely happy about:

Simplified routine (method)
Cheap products
Don't rinse hair daily
Keep scalp clean

Next year is all about length and D-I-Y styling.:yep:

My goal was FULL BSL. I'm currently "kinda" bsl. I'll probably make it by Feb - Mar 2011. I have, however, locked down all of my staples and my hair is BEAUTIFUL!! I went to the doctor with my mother last week and even he complimented me on my hair !

I met my goal. I'm pleased with my progress and what I've retained this year. My new goal is MBL with big thick hair.

i am VERY satisfied,, for a few reasons:
-i started fresh with a bob cut, and i'm loving growing it back blunt, with thick ends.
-i learned some adorable new styles. braid n curl for life!
-i've really ENJOYED my hair this year, had a lot of fun with it.

I have to say this year has been an interesting one with my hair. I didn't start my HHJ until June of this year. Prior to this website, I had no goals set whatsoever concerning my hair besides praying it doesn't fall out. Now I'm transitioning and past SL and I couldn't be happier. I have set goals for the future, but I'm taking it one day at a time :yep:

I voted other and this is my explaination:

I didn't learn about taking care of my hair until a few months ago. I have gained so much knowledge from the women here. Research, youtube, product reviews have me so exicted about my hair future.

I didn't really have a goal but now I do and although I didn't reach any hair goals I am pleased about where I am headed...towards a healthy head of BSL hair.

i voted other because i didnt really have a hair goal. i decided to go natural December 25th 2009, and the 1st 3 months of 2010 i transitioned, then BC'd in march, and since then i've been learning my hair and developing a regimen, but i didnt really set goals as far as length or anything...but i am satisfied with my hair's health and growth since my BC...for 2011 i want to make SL and APL

I thought I'd be BSL/MBL by now (stretched). those lengths are about the same on me, I am so short.
I am like 4 inches from that. My hair is past APL, which makes me happy.

I think I'll be at my goal by June 2011.

My goal was Full BSL, I'm currently 20 weeks post so I'll find out in 2 weeks when I relax :crossfingers: ...but I was grazing BSL after my relaxer in July so we'll see. I'm excited :)

I didn't have a specific length goal for this year, as I wanted to watch and see what my hair could do when properly cared for.

Because of everything I've learned on LHCF since I BC'd 6 months ago, my hair is starting to return to my childhood thickness, we've finally just about figured each other out, and I'll probably be able to claim CBL by the end of December (*fingers crossed*). I BC'd to an average of 2.5" and have gained about 4" in the last 6 months. I couldn't be happier with my progress :-)

My 2011 goals are APL by my nappiversary (May 31) and BSB by December. Happy growing ladies!

I wanted to be FULL APL by the end of 2010, but didn't quite get there, but that's ok. I'm happy to say that I think I figured out my hair needs this year. I now have some products that I feel pretty confident will get me to my 2011 goal of full BSL. I learned how to get less breakage (especially with my braidouts....I learned to finger comb until I shampoo) and I learned I definitely need to do an Aphogee 2 step protein treatment every 6 weeks to get the most retention.

I feel good about what I learned this year...so I think it was a success! :yep:

Here's how I did since my BC on 2.5.10

My siggy pic is my latest hair pic. I condition wash daily and use carrot cream in my hair. That's it.

I didn't set a goal this year b/c I bc'd in march to start with a new head of healthy hair from a setback I had :nono: ... Well as long as my hair is growing back healthy i'll take that as my goal for 2010 and I met that..

I am ok...Have a conditioner my hair likes $$$$$$ Oil combo my scalp likes, oil my hair likes, rinse out conditioner my hair & scalp likes...Still aiming for my goal...

All the things my scalp/hair likes $$$$$$$ cost a lot..Oh well!

Happy Hair Growing!

I don't think I had a goal for 2010....I'm just trying to get to WL in 2011. My hair has done really good this year. Hopefully I will be posting some progress pics tomorrow.

Thanks for the pics! Great progress you have made...I remember how long and lovely your relaxed hair was, your natural hair is just as lovely!

Aww...... thanks! I am happy you remember because I am forgetting, LOL!

I picked other... didn't really have a goal for this year after deciding to transition. I BC and am on my way to SL so I'm happy with that. :)

I voted other. I didn't have a goal this year. I did some experimenting in 2010 and wound up with some unexpected, wonderful results. The lady who does my hair noticed the change in my hair. I just got to go back over my hair notes for 2010 to verify that the actions I took provided the results that I got.

I didn't meat any goals because I didn't have one! I was flying by the seat of my pants, which happens to be my motto. But in this case it's been rocky at best. 2011 I'm going to have a goal and meet it.

My goal was MBL and I'm barely BSL. My ends are terrible and breaking. I am guessing it's old damage from my pre-HHJ days. My hair has been getting thicker but not much longer during the last 6 months.

I just want all the damage to go away so my ends can stop breaking! :cry3:

I voted "I didn't quite meet my goal for 2010 but I'm still satisfied! " Because I trimmed too much and got layers in August(my last relaxer) so I did not make it. But I hope by f
Feb. 2 be MBL. I am satisfied because my hair has jumped through hurdles but it's still thriving!

Goal met for 2010 and I am very happy! (progress in siggy)

My goal was full APL and I obtained that. However, I'm not feeling like the Rapunzel I thought I would at this length! :nono::lachen: Onward march to full BSL for 2011!!! :yep::lick:

Only thing I am changing is more PS'ing next year. I'm in a weave-state of mind right now...gonna get some colored, naturally curly hair and sew it in for a few months out of the year!
