How are you wearing your hair for Thanksgiving

This will be the first Thanksgiving I'm gonna spend alone and so it won't matter how I wear my hair

I'm getting braids in two days and I haven't decided if I'm getting micros or small box braids. Either way they will be hanging loose. I'm going to try not to wear them in a ponytail at all b/c I hate when they get the "ponytail mark" in them that doesn't go away.

In a satin bonnet. I'm eating at home!

But I'm getting my hair done that Friday or Saturday, and 9 times outta 10, I'm getting a curly upsweep.

Caramelkiss,

Why will you be alone? If you don't mind my asking. Even if you are alone, I think you should still do something special.

I'm living here in Germany and my husband travels alot for work and will be out of town Thanksgiving week. I am also in the middle of an intensive German class and can not miss more than 9 days and so going to the US to see my family is out of the question plus tickets are expensive for that time. Maybe I could do something with the students in my class but u know how it is, it's about being with the people u love and care about so it wouldn't be the same, but then again who know.

If u have any suggestions I would appreciate it!!

I know I how you feel. Right now I'm in Denmark and will be missing my sister's and mother's birthday as well as Thanksgiving with my family. I plan to celebrate turkey day with some other American students here. I think that you should try arranging a dinner with the other students in your class. Have people make one dish that they normally eat with their families and have everyone put some money in a pot for the turkey. I think it would be interesting to see how other celebrate the holiday. Believe me, it won't be as great as celebrating Thanksgiving with your real family but they might make a nice substitute. Then you can dress up and do something nice with your hair if you want to. Or you could stay in a make a nice dinner for yourself but I would talk to the other students in your class and see if anyone is interested. Who knows? Good luck.
