How are you going to keep your hair moist during the winter?

Are you going switch to moisturizing shampoos, condition, different hair techniques, etc...?

Please do tell.:yep:

I am going to start reusing my shea butter up this winter and I am also going to step up on co-washing. I am also going to try not to use any heat.

pre poo and deep condition once a week(ive always done this anyway).
keep my hair in braids
use lots of shea butter, coconut oil and jbco.

I'm using SheScentit's Coco Creme leave-in mixed
with a little Qhemet Biologics Amla Olive heavy cream. Awesome combo for me!!!

I will moisturize with either shea or castor oil and wear my hair in twist or twist outs. I live in Florida so it isn't a biggy...

prepoo & deep con 2x a week
coconut oil & evoo in everything
satin pillowcase and silk scarves
up my water intake

Same here so I'll pretty much keep my same routine. Although I will probably baggy my ends more. Right now I'm weaving it up and my current regimen is working fine.

My ends will remain out, they've always been

Dusting

More water...maybe DC longer periods of time with something more moisturizing, less protein

Keep Prepooing w/ oil vs. cheapie conditioner for the summer

I Live in a Cold Climate.

So....My Plans are to -- Maintain my Weekly DC Schedule with Steamer and/or Heat Cap. Definitely Keep Protein & Moisture Balanced.

Use a good Moisturizer Daily i.e. Natural Butters, Qhemet, Afroveda, Hairveda, Anita Grant, Phyto etc.... Seal with Oil and Starting in January, 2010 I will be doing this under a Wig Until Spring.:look:

That way, I can Super Moisturize during the day underneath the WIG. And at night allow my hair to breathe.

Will attempt this Routine until April. Hopefully, the retention payoff will be worth it.:yep:

Hello ladies!!!!:grin::grin:

Well I just wanted to share that I just purchased this Amla & Olive Heavy Cream from Qhemet and it is said that it helps keep hair moisturized during the winter season. Only thing is i hope it gets here before the winter season is over :lachen::lachen:
Will post my reviews on it and get back to you guys!!!

I agree with this post. I use both of these products and they work well for me. I also use the Shescentit Moisture Mist spray, shea butter, and heavier oils (i.e. Olive Oil, regular castor oil and JBCO, etc.).

My routine will remain the same. Wash and deep condition once a week and moisturize daily. I plan to keep my hair twisted. The only thing different I will be incorporating is rocking a wig. I was in need of a change style wise and my wig will be fulfilling that need.

Increase my water intake. Start taking vitamins and baggy every other night. Co wash at night every 3 or 4 days. DC every other week. Shampoo with my non-sulfate shampoo on the week I don't DC (just experimenting) Keep wearing wigs as a protective style. Exercise 4 times a week.
