It looks really nice and buter soft. I want to reach through the screens and touch it.
My hair is the MOST moisturized and soft it's ever been with any straightening process I've ever tried.... I decided today after my co-wash to do what I jokingly called a "white girl blow out." So I co-washed with a mix of Organix Vanilla Silk Conditioner and Nexxus Humectress (wanted to use my expensive Nexxus because I knew I had the intention of blowing it out). I detangled with my shower comb - before doing that I put in Salerm 21 and a dab of HE LTR Leave-in, sealed with my castor/coconut oil mix, and sprayed on heat protectant (Tresemme Heat Tamer which I had added some coconut oil to and SAA). I'm into mixing stuff as you can see. I lightly blow dried my hair with a warm heat and low setting - Andis Tourmaline/Ionic colorwaves dryer. I used a wide tooth comb to facilitate the process. I only dried it til it was about 80% dry - so it still had some dampness. I sectioned off small parts from ear to ear as though I was going to flat iron and put the rest up and out of the way with a clip.
I used my new Conair Tourmaline/Ceramic roundbrush with the dryer and lightly turned the brush as I went down the length of the hair. I made sure to place a concentration nozzle on the dryer itself, and directed the air DOWN the hair shaft and over the brush. The temp was set to Warm Temp/High Speed. It wasn't smoking hot AT ALL. I did this until my entire head was done. I lost little hair, Just some sheds, and yes there was some breakage, but not a lot at all which surprised me. I think I lost more hair when I roller set the other day. When I was done I wanted a little more of a bump on the ends so I set my ends on jumbo caruso rollers.
The end result was AMAZING! My hair was swinging, and I notice that my hair is SO INCREDIBLY MOISTURIZED. Lately when I have tried to rollerset/blow roots, my hair feels dry. And when I flat iron once in a blue moon I feel like my hair catches on itself if I run my fingers through it... Now my hands can glide RIGHT THROUGH, and my hair is light and blowing in the wind. I was so afraid to try this, but this seems to be the best way for me to do straight styles - and I am 8 weeks post with 8 weeks more to go til touch-up time (stopped transitioning, wasn't ready). I have NOT been doing straight styles anyway, just braidouts/twistouts/bantu knot outs and straighten maybe 1x a week to every 2 weeks. Just what I need, yet ANOTHER method and reason to use heat, lol. MODERATION!!

I didn't realize this thread was still going strong! I've been caught up reading that ENTIRE Ovation/Mega Tek thread for the last few days, lol, and only grabbing other threads here and there when my eyes start going blurry from all that reading!
I'm sooo in love with your hair too Sylver, girl I almost died when I saw all your pics gone in your album! Glad to see you're still around and just revamping!
