Hey, somebody tell me that Country life Maxi is..

i've never heard of this particular supplement causing this to happen, but anything is possible. how long have you been taking them? it could very well be something that will clear up.

Does this supplement happen to contain MSM? MSM causes a lot of people to breakout until the body gets used to it (not sure how long that is though).

Yes, it actually does. I was fine but then I started taking the recommended two tablet dosage....this was also around the time I put these braids in. I wonder if I'm going too crazy with my scurl spray... /images/graemlins/cry3.gif

Leshia, I've never had a problem with it. I'm sure your skin will clear up in no time. BTW, I started taking mine when I had braids, this is the time I saw the most growth.

I heard some people say that they may have breakouts but then once their system get's use to the vitamin they no longer have them. Maybe that's what is happening to you. Some vitamins have a detoxifying effect on your system also. Maybe you should give it a little more time before discontinuing.

Leshia, I'm one of the ones who cannot do the MSM. I broke out something fierce and had terrible headaches and insomnia. All from taking MSM /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

I'm going to try to hang in there just because my nails are SO strong that i know it's doing great things for my hair. (That IS a good indication, right??) Anywho, this has GOT to be done with..I'm going to develop "issues"! *smirking* Nooo, I don't have them already or anything...

I'm taking them. I've noticed just a couple more breakouts than normal, but nothing major. THey contain iodine. I heard that this might sometimes cause breakouts. HTH.

I hate when I get breakouts and can't figure out the reason for it!!! Longer hair, but with a price?? A face full of breakouts??? Ugh. That's a hard choice to have to make. I hate pimples... I had enough of them when I was a teenager - I'm not trying to fight that battle at this age... /images/graemlins/shocked.gif, it's not worth it... Pimples turn into brown spots, and God knows those are hard to get rid of!!! /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I have acne and I avoid everything containing iodine or kelp like the plague! /images/graemlins/naughty.gif It makes my acne worse! I was interested in trying Andrew Lessman's Healthy Hair Skin and Nails. It doesn't contain any iodine and I heard it's pretty good. I even cook w/non-iodized sea salt.

I have Andrew Lessmans's Hair, Skin &amp; Nails and I HATE them!! I ordered them from HSN.com (Home Shopping Network) I must admit that I haven't really been taking them on a regular basis, but so far I don't see any difference in my hair. Oh, the reason I hate them is because the capsules STINK!!! They have a really strong sulfur smell. As soon as I opened the bottle, I was like, "P-U!!!!" Dang!! I keep thinking that that stuff is gonna seep out of my pores, or come out in the form of gas or something!! I know this is gross but you can smell it when you burp, too!! /images/graemlins/crazy.gif I only take them during the week, when my fiance isn't around!!! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif And, I'm only continuing to take them because they cost good money. /images/graemlins/mad.gif I can't wait until they're finished so I can try a different brand!!

that has happened to me witrh these vits. I think they are too strong for me becuase (excuse me for getting a bit personal) /images/graemlins/smirk.gif they cause my pee to become an alarmin bright yellow color. At the time i was drinking a lot of water 8 12oz glasses a day, and this still happened.
I thought they were having problems absorbing, so i added a vit c complex (which aids in absorption) and still bright yellow.
I stopped taking them! i'm looking for a multi to replace my specific hair vit.

thats one reason why i hated taking a lot of pills. if they stink it makes it so much harder to swallow because the smell can almost knock you out. God bless you all.

Don't worry--all B-Vitamins cause the urine to be bright yellow. It's actually a sign that they have absorbed where and how much they need to.
