heres a twist, anyone have a so that wants to grow their hair as well?

When I met my so five years ago he had shoulder length hair. It was okay looking but since he is a man it wasn't in the best of condition. As a matter of fact he had spilt ends all over the place. He actually used rubber bands to keep it in a pony tail! When we broke up for a few years he had cut it and kept it cut until feb of this year. We are together again and now he wants to grow it back to that length but only this time I'm going to make sure he takes care of it if he wants it longish. Ill take some pictures off his hair soon, but his hair is coming along very nicely. About 5 inches (when pulled) of shiny, curly healthy hair.

Nah, DH already has super long hair - full waist length. He has some pieces at tail bone length. It's funny to me that so many people drool over it and talk about his hair as if we cannot hear them behind us. It does not seem that long to me but it's because I've seen his hair daily for years.
