Just rinised out my henna and applied my VERY THIN, WATERED DOWN INDIGO WITH WAYY TOO MUCH SALT and got abit on my face, and its itching a little I put abit of baby oil on don't kno what to do  . I think I may of heard of bad things about indigo on the skin

Put too much salt in, am i likely to experience any negative effects?

The salt should be OK on your skin since there are such things as salt scrubs. If you wipe the indigo off the skin, that should be fine too. As far as your hair, I only add about a tablespoon of salt to my indigo at the most. I don't foresee your having any problems but you never can tell. I hope it turns out OK.

Thanks for the replies, the itches have gone, my hair just feels a little bit dry atm, doesn't look very shiny yet, under the plastic cap

The henna treatment itself or the issues with the indigo?

the henna was comme ci comme ca.... it was OK. Can't really see any thickness or shine at all. I'm thinking that for me the conditioning benefits probably for me are needed with colour release, I used warm/ cold water so I think this probably was an issue also... anyone applied henna with warm not hot water, but still got great results?

The indigo didn't take much (better than I initially preceived though), my hair is overall slightly darker, not that bluey black that I craved, but perhaps thats because I didnt allow the henna colour to release.

I will try this again very soon (probably next week), but allowing the henna colour to release and probably without the indigo, (as I still have henna left, and don't think the indigo will arrive before next week) then a month or so after I may try again with indigo.
