Heating cap or hooded dryer?

I personally prefer the hooded dryer. Recently I tried a hot towel covered by a plastic cap and then I got under a 'preheated' hard hooded dryer(I also have 3 soft bonnets).
The heat from the dryer and the moisture from the towel gave me a 'steam treatment'. I'm doing anohter one tonight. My hair loved it.

You're welcome...I forgot to say the towel was a wet towel that I heated up in the microwave first..put in on a dinner plate folded and heat for 60 seconds(or more if you want it hotter...just don't make it too hot to handle) then wrap it around your hair followe3d immediately by the plastic cap.

sweetcocoa, that's a good idea. I considered doing that, but I thought that wearing a plastic cap over the conditioner while using a bonnet or hood dryer should produce steam within the plastic cap without needing a towel, especially if the hair is fairly wet prior to putting on the plastic cap. I use a bonnet dryer while wearing a plastic cap and find that it is better than using a heating cap.
