Nope. That is not heat damage.
Y'all I had a bad Dominican blow out and I have ramen noodles for hair. RAMEN NOODLES. I haven't worn it out yet in 2 months and I'm ready for a huge cut.
Hey @Daina@wavezncurlz, so sorry to hear about your heat damage. Going to the Dominican salons is what did me in. Sounds like your going to big chop, is the damage all over? I'm not built for the big chop so I've transitioned over the last 18 months. Olaplex has been a game changer for me!
Hey @Daina
It's just so thin. I may have to try the opalex. I have fine hair anyway but the damage just made it limp. I've made it to hip length in the past and am probably waist length now when straightened. The damage is at the ends (roots feel same) so I have nice curls until the end. I feel like I could do shoulder length layered bob and lose some of the straight ended. I'm also ready for a change!
Broooooooooooo
i'm actually dying at this b.
footage in the tub? your husband coming on camera cause you're too emotional to come back? And you ain't even done one protein treatment yet??
Bro she's tripppppppping. the natural hair game should never be this serious.
This does seem fake to me too. As someone who's had heat damage, far worse then this, I know that the first stage of heat damage grief is denial. You see that the texture is looser while washing, but you tell yourself "Nope, Not I! Nope, nope, nope, nope!" Then you deep condition and leave it on for 8 years, for fear of seeing whats really going. Once you rinse the DC and see that those pieces are still straight, you go into panic mode and throw the kitchen sink at it trying to repair the damage... Finally, after none of that works, and you realize what you've done, THEN that's when...
See, she jumped all the steps and went straight to the Lucy cry. She was barely done washing and only had a few low hanging (but still coily) pieces.
I have a friend who I've know 20 years who has a YT channel with her husband. They do overly dramatic videos just like this. I know her so I know its BS. I feel the same about this one. Heat damage will make a person really sad, but I smell play it up for the cameras with this one.I think it's just me. My brain does not compute when people purposely film/edit themselves crying as being genuine... I think it's a combination of that, her husband taking over and making a speech... I would've just talked about it when I was calmer (like her intro) and shown up close pictures/footage of the damage and try to explain what I think went wrong. I don't follow her though so this might just be her thing.
My hair never comes right back after a flat iron. It usually takes a few washes and dc to get it back to my normal. She just needs a protein and DC. It's soooo not that serious to be breaking down on camera about. I saw no straight hair.
She has a good DH because mine would have been like "oh you still have hair on your head...we good then" and strolled on out the bathroom to watch the game.
