Headaches for Hairgrowth?

Does anybody else find it weird that people are getting headaches from using MN? Is this not dangerous? I mean maybe I'm just paranoid, but our bodies usually tell us when we're not treating it right and I do not play with my health. God knows how bad I want long hair but I don't want to mess up something else in the process. Just curious.

This is why I haven't done the MN thing. I wouldn't be able to stand it. Any responses on how you feel about this ladies?

I did a search on nitrates and this is what I found.....

The problem everyone is experiencing is probably from the nitrate. It causes vasodilation. Which means increased blood flow to the area. It opens up the vessels so that more blood can reach that area. I think this is probably what is causing more growth too because of the increased blood flow to the scalp. When there is a rush of blood to this area it will cause a headache. If you do a search check out nitrates. Nitrates alone are usually given to people with chestpain (angina). Well, that's my 2 cents.

I think this exlplains it well. I think this is why some people will choose to dilute the MN with oils to cut down the concentration of the active ingredient.

I was wondering about this too and had planned to start this thread (glad somebody did already). At first I thought the headaches were from all the itching. Now it seems like an actual headache. I was hoping someone who has experienced this would chime in.

Hi Ladies. I've posted on the headache issue quite a few times after starting using the MN for growth. I found that after about 3 weeks of daily use (once a day), the headaches would start to set in. So, I cycled for 3 weeks on/2 off which seemed to work ok but then I just stopped all together.

My mom started using the MN and had the accompanying headaches as well though her came much sooner than mine did. She found (as did I) that very quickly after stopping use, the headaches subsided.

If you go through a search, the posts are there (mine and others).

HTH,

Vixx

I think it's very smart of you to do the cycle for 2 weeks on 1 week off, then 2 weeks again. Someone on BMH also stated that she had been experiencing skin thinning. I'd like to incorporate MN after my stretch ends, but it's something that I'd like to think about more. I really don't need anymore growth aids. BT and overall healthy living is doing me just fine .

It's all about what works for you. I haven't had any issues with headaches or anything from using MN. I would agree if it was giving me really bad headaches I probably wouldn't use it. I too have decided to not use it continuously, though. It's a good way for me to not only monitor progress, but also to monitor whether I will experience any less noticeable side effects.

It makes me have headaches.

I can use it only once, even if I mix it with oil or something and get headaches about 2 days later that get worse each day - mostly in the morning when I wake up.

I just can't deal with that!

Today is day 3 for me and I have not gotten a headache yet.

My body is very sensitive to just about everything so I diluted my MN with water, sulfur and dogro (I will be changing my mixture yet again, because right now it's too oily)

Thanks for the replies ladies, i am also concerned about the skin thinning. Has anyone else experienced this with MN?

I used MN for a week and had to stop. The headches got so bad that I had to take EXTRA strength tylenol to get through the day. Last tuesday was my last application because of the headches. By wednesday the headaches were gone. I thought about using it once a week but I'm not sure yet. BTW I heavily dilluted mine, with CD hair butter, olive oil, wild growth oil, avocado oil, maine and tail carrot oil (cream) and I still got the headaches :nono:

I have made 2 mixtures of MN. The first time around I was good to go, the second time around, I was not :nono:

I really think it's a matter of how much we are mixing
