Hi ladies! I know this has to be a repeat but since the search engine isn't working properly I was wondering if anyone else has had experiences with MN and shedding? I just got relaxed two weeks ago and started using mn a week or so ago and I'm shedding like crazy considering I usually don't right after a relaxer.
I read somewhere that the shedding eases up after awhile, but I want a general opinion of what I should do. Does the shedding go away eventually or did I possible use too much MN in my mix? (Used about a tube and a half of MN with a few ounces of Proclaim Olive Oil & castor oil and use every to every other night) I just really need to hear some experiences from ladies who shed whether or not I should continue or not.

I didn't shed while using MN but everyone's head is different, I would advise you to stop using MN and if the shedding stops then it is the MN but if the shedding continues you will need to look at your current regime.

Thank you sassygirl and kat! Does ANYONE else have anymore advice on mn and shedding? If not I'll probably take Kat's recommendation. Oh! And keep in mind that I'm anemic and I need to get that sorted out asap. Still I usually don't shed as much as I do this soon post relaxer....

Your welcome i notice as soon as i stop using the MN my shedding stop so i knew immediately it came from that. :yep:

Hi...I had the same issue with shedding and MN. It wasn't excessive, however I did stop using it. You get phenomenal growth, but the side effects can for some not be worth its use. I beleive the mineral oil may be a contributing factor. Nevertheless, may I advise you to use essential oils such as Rosemary, lavender, peppermint in a carrier oil instead. Also please take care of the anemia. Proper nutrition plays an important part in healthy hair. HTH!!!
