He can be so IGNORANT AND IRRITATING!

Men are crude. I don't discuss girly things (like hair) with them at all because I know they usually don't get stuff like that.

Sorry u got offended hun, but u need to understand the majority of men really don't give a da*n about hair ,as much as they Pretend to listen to our rants about growht and products but I promise u they rw as intersted as us when They talk about cars.

Is this the national Say Something Dumb About A Chick's Hair Week or something? WTH?:lachen:
You should have given him a wig, some tracks, or a bag of hair and told him to cuddle up with that. In the beginning stages of my nappiness, I gave my brother my collection of hair and told him to let that be his sister from now on. :lachen:

I agree with the less is more sentiments though :yep:but that's another thread.

Yeah guys say dumb stuff like that. Yesterday my guy was like "I knew this dude in school he was all the way black with a good grade but it was black people's hair and it grew so long and so fast" as if he was shocked, I'm like :( Then I changed the subject to talking about his jheri curl back then and we kinda shifted the whole thing. It ended with him saying I should get some more "jheri juice" for the challenge after I explained how glycerin helps you retain and moisturize and how long I want it to grow. Sometimes guys act "not so smart" but we all have our ignorance areas so we have to practice tolerance and take advantage of selective hearing lol. I've realized when it comes to hair, clothes, etc if he notices or likes something he'll say it.

The guy I wish was my boyfriend (my best friend), I talk to him about hair all the time. He's really supportive. However, sometimes I go on a looong rant or research topic and he has nothing to say but "hm." though I know he's listening. Lol sometimes less words are better. Your hubby didn't get that memo it seems. Your BC is fab and healthy hair is better than anything, even length.

I was expecting much worse from your OP. I thought you were gonna be like he said 'your hair is so nappy. Why don't you perm it?'

Awwww. Sorry. Talk to him about it. Tell him that it hurts you when he says things like that. He should stop if he loves you.

I WISH he would have said something to that degree!:boxing:

Sometimes, I think he doesn't realize how insensitive he is being. Next time (if there is a next time), I will definitely let him know.

 Really? Wow. I'd'a preferred it if he's said my hair doesn't grow fast.

But either one is insensitive :yep:

He probably had no idea that he was being insensitive and just felt like he was making an observation. We see slow growth as negative on the boards, but as a man I don't know if he would know that saying your hair grows slow is a bad thing. My husband says his own hair grows slow all the time and never says it like hes saying anything negative.
He probably feels the same way when you talk about hair that I do when my husband is talking about the engine in a car:sleep8:
