I realized I haven't done a good update in a while and wondered what everyone else's reasons were.

Mine is because I haven't had a good hair picture and I haven't been adventurous enough to try anything new.

Whats yours?
 
dont matter to me anymore. i have other things to do. e.g, i joined LHCF because of the finance forums. now that autosurfs are kinda dead, im now into makeup. im tkaing care of my hair but im not that into it to take any new pics
 
I recently updated my album but there was a long stretch of time where I didn't update. That was because I don't really do much with my hair in the way of styles and I don't regularly take pictures. I usually need a reason for an update, like anniversary or some significant progress. But there are some ladies who really have inspired me and I always benefit from looking at their albums. I just feel like I should contribute too...for whatever its worth. And also, it's cool to look back and see how my hair has progressed over the months.

But aside from that,:look: I haven't updated because honestly...how much *real* progress can you make in a month or every 2 weeks? (I update mine every month)

This is my hair.
This is my hair in a bun.
This is my hair in a ponytail.
This is my hair in a black bra.
This is my hair in a red bra. Notice, it's 2 centimeters higher than the black bra.

Once I got into the swing of things, monthly updates proved to be no longer necessary for me, so once I pay them Fotki bastids, it'll only be every 3 months. So next update is in September for me.
 
I usually try to update when I get a touch up, other than that, I haven't.:perplexed

That is too funny, but it is also exactly what I want to see when I'm looking at other people's progress. I have NO idea why. I just know I have never looked at anyone's fotki and thought 'this chick has too many pics of her hair.' NEVER!

i stopped updating monthly because i can see a lot more progress if i leave it 2 or 3 months. which makes me happier.
 
I just started my fotki in april and have already stopped troubling with. I will post new photos here on the board as I see fit but bump the fotki for now.
 
i'm on the hide ya hair till xmas challenge! i'm hiding it from myself so when i finally do take pic i can be more surprised
 
I prefer to wait every 3 months, because that way I know that I'll see progress. It's really encouraging that way, and I have something to look forward to. :)
 
I'm trying to stretch for 20 weeks so when I relax in a few weeks and I can really tell how much my hair has grown then I will do an update. Otherwise I really don't do that many updates.
 
My Digicam broke
and Im depressed about it :lol:
I keep a disposible on hand now
then when I get it developed I will just scan and post :)

How wretched.... I'd be so devastated. :( Do you plan on putting the digi cam in the shop.... or will that be more money and trouble than its worth?
 
Pure laziness... That and I'm in weaves most of the time. I don't even know what my hair looks like. I combed it out yesterday before I put my wig on. It's growing but idk how long it really is bc theres 3 months of new growth and 6 months of shrunken texlaxed hair. And oh yeah I'm on the Hide Your Hair til Christmas Challenge so there won't be any updates on my own hair as far as length goes for a while lol
 
I might call around and get a quote, but You can get a decent digicam for under $100 now so it will prob be more money than the camera is worth.. Ill just have to sell my memory stick to someone who has a sony..

I wanted to vote but it says this poll is now closed?? Anyway there wasn't really a category for me beause if there had been a box called 'Ashamed of your hair' I would have ticked that one! :lol:

I know this may sound silly but I thought my progress wasn't as good as everybody elses so I did not want to post pictures.

Honestly my hair was in such an AWFUL AWFUL state when I joined the forum - possibly the worst out of anybody's. I had layers so it was uneven, broken in some areas and I mean BROKEN (we are talking down to less than an inch in one spot on my crown! ), other areas were very very dry and frizzy, some areas were see through, the list goes on.

After one year although I had made tremendous progress in terms of health and thickness, I hadn't acheieved the long length like other people had due to my layers and the terrible state they were in my hairdresser had to keep trimming until it was even.

A year and a half later since I joined LHCF its still not even and there are layers still to be cut out but its much much much better than it has EVER been in my whole life and now I am ready to post pictures again. The length is begining to show now!

Oh and I don't own a digital camera so I have to keep borrowing my dad's! lol I must by one and do an update asap.
 
Not much to update as far as pics. :ohwell: And my products and hair-tine change on a daily basis, so that's too much to document. I post in various threads, depending on the topic, as to what I may be doing, but that's about it for now.
 
*sigh* Such a combo... Laziness, problems with software, computer issues. etc... I finally figured out that I can upload pics to my computer without connecting my camera (I can just pop in the memory card) but now Imj having Internet issues... *sigh* I think Ill update when I get another computer BUT I have been takign pics... Loads and loads of them so when I do update nothign will be left out :)
