Haven't Trimmed but almost there....

I was at brastrap back in July and I'm just about there again. I haven't trimmed in over 2 months and I have to take at least 1-2 inches off. I really have to take a trip to Miami to have my cousin give me a real good trim without taking off my length like the last hairstylist I went to.

Do you guys think my hair grew back fast? It felt like it took forever

How much was cut off? That would give us an idea.

If you got the typical .5 inch a month then you would have 3 inches after 6 months but if you got more growth then it would work out to more inches.

It may seem like it's taking forever because you are trimming to get rid of damage. Last year I ended up almost where I started from, because once I decided to trim, I just couldn't put the shears down. I put it away in a spot that would be difficult for me to get to and then we had a heatwave and I spent a lot of time in air conditioned buildings - it sucked the moisture right out of my hair no matter how many times I moisturized daily, so battled with split ends at the front for a few weeks - had to take out the shears again to dust the front.

Are you using any protective styles? My plan for this year is to wear extensions a few times. For my ends I like to use biosilk or the generic version from sally's when I see a lot of split ends.

Yes I've been wearing my hair twisted up into a bun most of the time. It's down now. I'm ready for my bun again.

Last year I had 6 inches cut off, now I trim every month or so, so that I don't have to have large amounts cut off at one time.

yeas, I think you hair grew back fast.
