I've told close friends, one joined, but she's never posted so I don't know if she lurks or what. Of course my SO knows about it, he thinks I'm obsessed, but thinks it's cute and he will talk about the women in his office w/ jacked up hair that need to come to the board. Personally I tell anyone that asks, simply because my hair is looking healthier everyday. They must have noticed something good about it if they took the time to ask about it. I don't have a problem telling people. Many people think that it is crazy for us to participate in this because they are not really interested in the advice of others or the encouragement of this community. I leave it up to them besides many of them are just HATERS!!!! /images/graemlins/angry2.gif

I've told my mom, my aunt and cousin about it and that's it! They have all been really positive about it, except my cousin is a little skeptical. But I keep telling her, that when my hair is flowing down my back, then she'll want to joing the site too! LOL, but my mom and aunt are really receptive. Anyone else, I'll just keep it to myself. I MAY give them a few tips that I learned off here, but if they really want to learn about healthy hair, they'll have to find it themselves, LOL, like I did or show that they're really ready for healthy hair, then I may direct them to it!.

I haven't had any negative reactions when I have told people about LHCF.

Recently, I talked w/ some of the members of a very LARGE national organization, which, consists of mostly women. They were asking me about my hair and although, I've had very long and healthy hair all of my life, I told them about this site b/c there is a lot of great info on here. I suggested that they let their members know about it at their local, state and national conferences. I was told by one of the ranking members that they are not allowed to do that b/c this is a pay site. I told them that the fee is $5.00 per year, but, she said that they can only do that for non-profit businesses or organizations.

I know when I first joined this board I told a couple of people and only one became a member back then she's not a member anymore. I told my husband and let em tell you I was on here so much that he was like your on that damn site again aren't you /images/graemlins/mad.gif and I was like yep /images/graemlins/grin.gif once he started seeing the growth and how healthy my hair had become he shut up real quick /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif, but I stopped coming on as much until he left for Iraq. Sorry that happened to you. Sometimes poeple can be so mean and inconsiderate. Hey, you know your hair must have looked good, because they couldn't even say anything bad about it. They had to criticize the website.

I've only told my close friends and my brother about my "sickness." At first, my brother was not very supportive. Now, he is telling me to not give up when I talk about just cutting it all off. My friends just think my "hobby" is cute. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey, some have to work at having a nice body, so why can't we work at having nice hair?
