Have you ever mentioned LHCF.....

I only told one close friend about this site, b/c I wanted her to join the journey with me... other than that.. my lips are sealed /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Gosh, we're like a secret society. /images/graemlins/sekret.gif Like skull & crossbones for hair. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Oh mysweetevie I am so sorry this happened to you. I can't imagine where they got that idea from! I am a VERY sensitive person and get my feeling hurt easy and I am not afraid to post here. I think the ladies have been very nice and supportive not to mention a wealth of knowledge. Like you I am getting compliments on my hair because of LHCF.

Those nasty !@%#!$s at your work had no right./images/graemlins/mad.gif It would have been just as easy for them to say nothing. And here you were trying to do a good thing and share with them.

Again, sorry about the negative nellies but shine 'em on, rise above. You and I know they are full on deluded. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I told my best friend who joined and my mom who now is turning into a PJ. I'm totally obsessed with hair since joining the board. /images/graemlins/grin.gif Today my friend who hasnt seen my in awhile looked at my hair said "your hair looks healthy" and that was reassurance enough that LHCF really does work. LOL! /images/graemlins/bouncy.gif

I think I do it too, but I will say something like "Guess what happened to my friend ________" Of course I don't really know lots of folks real names, so I just make up some. /images/graemlins/rofl.gif

oh yeah and to answer your question I have told only one person who admitted to wearing a weave and having trouble getting her own hair to grow out. I hesitate telling people because a lot of women are self-conscious about their hair and might get funny - like those ones you mentioned.

Re: Wolftrap\'s signature

Off topic: Wolftrap it's one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. /images/graemlins/rofl.gif

Re: Wolftrap\'s signature

my sisters say i'm obsessed but one keeps asking for dirt from the entertainment board. we were on the phone and i was cracking up she was like are you on the hair board. i told her yep and if you wanna laugh you gotta pay your $5 too.
a couple of friends got really interested after they saw my album.
i told someone i was in an online sorority, but the greek alphabet doesnt quite have LHCF the closest is "lamda eta gamma zeta" /images/graemlins/sekret.gif

I would never tell anyone b/c they would look at me like im too vain and crazy. My mom is the only person that really knows how obsessed I am with this board. I could only imagine the look on my aunt's face if I told her I was a member of this board. My cousin's even worse. They would think I have no life and nothing better else to do with my time.

I've told people, but they think I am crazy. So I just gave it up, everyone already knows I'm obsessed with hair. Even the girls in my cosmetology class think I'm crazy.

Ladies, I've learned my lesson....mum's the word /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif
Well i guess I won't show anyone else my LHCF tattoo.... /images/graemlins/rofl.gif

One thing I don't understand is this...most people have some kind of hobby or pasttime, or 'thing' that they're into: games, sports, computers, gardening....and these same people utilize the internet to find out more about these topics...so why can't we spend time on the net researching hair health?

Re: Wolftrap\'s signature

Mysweetevie- don't even let those heffas get to you- they'll be begging to join this board once you have grown your hair out thick and healthy.

I think my husband is the only person that knows about me being on this board- and he's always been supportive of me and my hair. He has no clue what the name of the site is- his only problem is that he gets offended with the entertainment board because they always have the full scoop before he can tell me (he hears something juicy and inevitably I already heard it on here a week or more ahead of time /images/graemlins/laugh.gif )

Msportugal you made me /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif with this one: /images/graemlins/rofl.gif /images/graemlins/rofl.gif /images/graemlins/rofl.gif /images/graemlins/rofl.gif

hehe thats so cute!

I am so glad you posted this!!! OMG /images/graemlins/clap.gif!!!!

Well, my Fiance HATED this site with a passion when we first got engaged. He felt like he was competing with the site. Then after a while he started to poke fun at me by making this geeky look on his face and pretending to be typing with eyes in "deer in headlights" fashion. It was so funny. But then I took his little butt over to the Celebrity Gossip thread, and now he's a LCHF fan! He doesn't know how to access it, but when he hears rumors he always asks me to confirm it by researching the site. We were up until 1:00 AM this morning laughing at the post about R.Kelly and DeLeon Richards and Michelle's fall in Destiny's Child.

I do get the "you're conceited to be posting pictures of yourself and measuring your hair" from others. Then I had one guy friend that I told about the site because he wanted to learn about texturizers. He used to cruise the site for nice pictures, asking do you know so and so? I don't think he does it anymore /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif.

Oh, another funny...

The other day I let my hair down and let my guy play in it for a while (free scalp massages /images/graemlins/smile.gif). I know you guys are thinking, TMI!! But stay with me. I wear buns everyday and I only wear it straight down if I'm taking progress pix, to trim, or special events.

Anyhoo, he hadn't seen it down in a while so he looked at it and was like Dang, your hair is getting longer! I was telling him a couple days prior that I was thinking of taking a break from Surge. He couldn't care less then, but when he saw it down the other day, he goes, "KEEP SURGING! Gotta reach that wedding goal!" The nerve of him! It was cute though.

I've only told my hubby and mother. I show my husband the funny pictures of celebrities all the time and he knows this site is not only about hair. My mother is really interested in what information I find out. Those are the only 2 people I discuss this board with.

The exact same thing happened to me. The only way I found this site is because I was pregnant and I thought I was having a girl so I was researching hair care and BAM, here it was. Well come ultrasound day we found out we were having a little boy and as soon as all the excitement calmed down and we were still in the doctor's office and my husband blurted out "and you still better keep on taking care of your hair". I was like, where'd that come from.

But anyway, Ms Portugal, I like the idea about being part of an on-line soroiety...that's all they need to know, lol.

Hey Melswifey /images/graemlins/wave.gif,

That's so cute! Most guys are so not into the girly-girl things, but when it comes to hair, they're all ears! Don't even mention scissors!

My guy has even gotten smart. I'm such a free spirit and I always want to try new things, including hair ideas every several months. When I debated about cutting bangs, he told me not to cut it until after the wedding. I thought that was a great idea- just in case I didn't like them. I later found out that he only said that b/c he knows I'll change my mind again by then and won't even want them anymore!

i've told a few people myself and boy do i regret it. i guess they're not ready yet. maybe it's too much for them to process. /images/graemlins/wink.gifsome people are very closed minded. /images/graemlins/spank.gif

I can't believe that lady went off like that. I thought she would be glad that you recommended a site that could in fact help with her hair. That bothers me that she said that as well /images/graemlins/mad.gif

i've mentioned the LHCF only to people Im close with like family and friends. They just always roll their eyes or sigh. One of my friends said you gonna end up messing up your hair with that mess! /images/graemlins/shocked.gif. I think my brother said that Im gonna end up bald! /images/graemlins/smirk.gif I dont care because I know my hair has been in better shape ever since I joined this forum. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

My boyfriend always threaten to post pics of my hair when I let it be a mess and don't comb it. He's like "If only the hair club for women can see you now /images/graemlins/nono.gif "

My boyfriend knows about it because he's always looking over my shoulders when he hears typing going on. He calls it "hair porn". Anyway, since he's been looking at some of the natural hair albums of women with long natural hair, he has been way more supportive and even wants me to strive for brastrap length hair. This is coming from a man who always begged me to keep my hair cut short.

/images/graemlins/lachen70.gif@ Hair club for women.
I've told a few people, but I get mixed reactions, but I dont care what they think. Nost of my friends and family thats close to me, know when they call and cant get through, its because I'm online w/ " My hair Buddies" as they say. I just say: Yup! LOL

Only my bf knows about the site. We'll go to the supermarket and i'll pick up a bottle of xzy hair product, and he goes, "Is it hair board approved?". Then he'll start using it aferwards.

I mentioned it to people at first, but they didn't really seem interested. Usually these people have they most jacked up heads. I don't tell anyone anymore. But sometimes I see people in the street and wonder if they are a member by the way they have their hair or products they buy.

I think we should have a secret phrase, body posture, or gesture to know who's a member....if u suspect someone you don't know to be a member of this board. jmho

The secret question many are using is "Are you Nikos' cousin?" He's the administrator.

My brother thinks I am crazy to be obsessed about a hair board. Yet he always compliments me hair. I always have the urge to tell women who compliment me but hold back , in case they think im crazy. Little do they know that I have found true hair freedom from LHCF. Before the board I was afraid of my hair LOL /images/graemlins/laugh.gif if I had met some one then who recommended this board I would have indebted to them /images/graemlins/smile.gif

This morning at work I got a compliment on my hair. /images/graemlins/clap.gif And the woman asked what was my secret? I said to her I joined LHCF online and it was one of the best things I've ever done. I told her it's not only for haircare but I feel a sense of community. Well.....she /images/graemlins/mad.gif went off about how we are lonely, angry conceited....blah blah women with no life. Then she and another woman proceed to look up the site and critize it. I am ready to /images/graemlins/swearing.gif /images/graemlins/censored.gif /images/graemlins/angry2.gif but I am not.
From the looks of their overprocessed, breaking and matted hair they both need to get on the site immediately!!
I am ready for us to get T-shirts because I see alot of women here that need acess to the great information I have found out about everything under the sun. I even think my fashion taste has changed. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Of course for the better. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
Thanks ladies /images/graemlins/kiss.gif you are the friends I don't have here...
Has this happened to you? Just curious.

OOOOH... /images/graemlins/mad.gif I take offense to when someone asks about something that I do, then critisize it. Oh that ***** should have gotten a swift kick in the ***. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

However, some cute little baby tee's would be cute for summer. I would support that I idea or even a coffee mug. I think that half of the profit should go to an organization like Locks for Luv. /images/graemlins/clap.gif
