Yes, but only the cheap ones. I have used beer as a final rinse and it is effective in making the hair more shiny.

I have made my own "Meade" in the past but I have never put it in my hair. The ingredients consist of water, honey, and yeast (very similar to the ethiopian drink, Tej). One day i will make it again and put it in my hair. I will post my results.

We look forward to it!

just wondering if any of you have tried this before. a friend of mine says she does it and she has some lovely, thick hair. so i wanted to know what is it supposed to do for your hair? and if i were to try it, should i rinse my dry hair with it then wash? or...?

TIA! :yep:
My grandmother turned me on to it. She's native american cherokee, though I don't think it's a native american thing, but I listen to her hair advice because she has some good tips. It's mostly used for shine, but I think that coconut oil can give the same type of shine and so does my sabino. I found I have to really dc with moisturizing conditioner if I use it because hair can get dry. So I don't use it much anymore for my hair type which is different from my grand moms

Welp, I bought a 12 pack today and left one out w/intentions to let it get warm and flat...I drank it before it got warm :ohwell:. I haven't taken any others out of the fridge yet. Maybe tomorrow.

dang, girl. :lachen: and i won't be able to try for a week or so, so i'll just have to wait for my own results, i suppose.
