Does anyone here use beer

Hello ladies , I was at work the other day and my mexican co-worker said to use an avacado (pureed)in my hair (let it sit for 2 or 3 hrs,with saran wrap and a paper bag ) she said she rinse it out with beer and her hair is so soft afterwards . Just wondering if any of you use beer and ifso how and what does it do for you ? I know the avacado is good ,just don't know anything about the beer. Thanks

When I used to relax my hair, I would sometimes put egg yolk in my hair and then rinse it with beer. Beer contains certain ingredients that are very good for the hair (brewer's yeast: http://www.hairloss-reversible.com/articles/hn15.htm); try looking for a beer with a low content of alcohol.

My grandmother would always say beer is good for you hair... I just can't imagine smelling like beer afterwards.
