I just viewed you album and your are progressing very nicely!
I love those waves, your hair type is starting to look like you might be a 2b or a 3 d/t your widening wave pattern.
I have read that transitioning hair for some continue to change until they are around shoulder length...Girl, the way things are going you might end up being a 1! Keep up the good work.
I love Hairlove's photo album! Not only have I visited it so many times that I have memorized the password, I have also bookmarked it for easy reference! Her hair is very beautiful, and I believe she deserves the recognition.
A bunch of you asked why I started relaxing in the first place and I thought it was just a joke but I guess maybe some of you are really wondering so here goes:
From what I remember being young, my mother washed my hair with some most likely harsh shampoo and then oiled my scalp with crown royal or sulfer 8. That's it. I never remember being conditioned or the use of styling products. Maybe it's just the time I grew up in...they didn't have the same types of products that they do now. So what else was there to do to have some type of control over hair? Relax...so that's what I got when I was 12! Plus, I was very "tenderheaded" and HATED getting my hair pressed!
Also, I think back then, any type of too curly hair was just not considered beautiful or cute. Times have changed...a LOT over the past 10 years and luckily for the better!
After that, I think I was just too afraid to find out what was underneath and if I didn't have my breakage episode, I'd plan to relax the rest of my life! All of that has completely changed!
Thanks again for visiting my album and for all of the compliments, everyone!

Hairlove,
Your hair is beautiful!
It is hard to imagine that those waves would not be beautiful to some people, but unfortunately you are right. The current trend usually does dictate what is beautiful at the time.
Hey hairlove. I brought myself some Alove vera stuff by Fruit of the Earth. Its pure aloe and its the light clear kind. I've seen another kind thats green(i think its by the same company). So after i wash my hair im gonna take some of that gel, rub it in my hands, and rub it in2 my hair and let it airdry, yes? While doin that do i just let my hair alone or should i braid/bantu knot/twist style it and then after its dry take it down?
