In your experience, what products have you found to be a great alternative to one of your favorites; gels, conditioners, moisturizers, anything.

Example: If you like Oyin Hair Dew, you'll love Darcy's Sweet Cocoa bean cream

If you like Uncle Funky's Curly Magic, you'll love Cantu Curling Custard. Same result for a small fraction of the money.

^^good to know. I tried the Cantu Naturals Coconut cream other day for a twist out and I like the way my hair felt so soft in the morning. Unfortunately it didn't do much for definition. Maybe I'll give the Custard a try.

Not true for me...

I love hair dew and hate Darcy's sweet cocoa bean cream or whip

If you love:

- GVP Silk Remedy, try Smooth N Shine Instant Repair Hair Polisher
(same consistency, better ingredient list, no annoying smell)

- Eco Styler Krystal Gel, try Xtreme Professional Wet Line Styling Gel
(same level of hold, less crunch and stiffness)

- Aphogee 2-Minute Reconstructor, try Mill Creek Biotin Conditioner
(lower cost, better ingredient list, more effective)

- Keracare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo, try CON Argan Oil Shampoo
(more moisturizing, more slip, higher level of carboxylic acid)

- CJ Curl Assurance Smoothing Lotion, try Curly Kinks Satin Roots Leave-in
(much more moisture, excellent detangling properties, better ingredient list)

I perked up for these two, especially the Keracare H/D Shampoo. That and DE Moisture Retention Shampoo are my go-to shampoos.

If you like Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose you will love Curl Junkie Curl Rehab (richer consistency, added slip, fun scents)

If you like Shea Moisture Curl and Style Milk you will love Pura Body Naturals Murumuru Moisture Milk (instant absorption, increased shine, glycerin free)

If you like Ouidad Curl Co-wash you will love Deva Curl No Poo (more cleansing yet gentler to the hair, increased slip)

If you like Terresentials Mud Wash you will love Shea Moisture African Black Soap Purification Masque (more accessible, cheaper, easier and better application, more moisturizing, and easier to rinse out)

- If you like Oyin Hair Dew, you may like DB Transitioning creme because they have very similar top 5 ingredients (aloe, coconut oil, and use the same emulsifier (Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol).

- If you like CJ Smoothing Conditioner, you will like Jessicurl Too Shea: similar consistency, slip, and conditioning.

- If you like UFD Curly Magic, you would like aloe gel with a bit of Xtreme gel for additional hold for a fraction of the price.

I see I'm gonna have to check myself into PJ rehab after this thread, lol.
I need to try that wetline gel.
