Hair for your man

I know this has been mentioned before but I wanna start a fresh.

Do you grow or keep your hair long for your man, or do you do it for yourself?

If you had long hair and you want to cut it but your man wants you to keep it long, do you?

Good thread. I actually am not growing my hair for my man. I experienced that with my ex. He was obsessed with long hair and stated many times that he didn't want me to cut my hair and that I would look horrible with short hair. I love the fact that my DH appreciates my hair in any style. When I met him I had a short pixie-ish cut and I have been letting it grow out since our relationship started. I plan to grow my hair down to BSL and maintain it there, but he couldn't care less what length my hair is. That's one of the things I love about him - he lets me be me!

I'm growing my hair long for me. When I had a SO, he was a non-factor in my overall appearance. However, I was the same when I met them so any dissatisfaction with my appearance would be trying to "change" me and was met with a karate chop. If I were the one changing though...by cutting my hair...hmmm...I definitely think I would still do it. If it were a permanent change I could see taking his opinion into account, but like others have said...hair grows back. If our relationship is so shallow that he wants to dump me over a haircut, oh well.

My SO understands that shoes and hair are my hobbies & he stays in his lane

BUT if he told me he preferred it a certain way, i.e. long or short, I would do whatever that was. He asks me my opinion about his hair all the time & cuts it the way I find most attractive beard and mustache include

I always found it odd that my ex actually prefers short hair. He likes the sassy cut.

I want to be one of the most attractive people to my mate...
For example my eyebrawls... I don't like them being thick.
I've always had them arched into an EXTREMELY THIN ARCHED LINE.
One day... He said "hun, you look extremely sexy to me for some reason..."
He racked his mind wondering why and then said YOUR EYE BRAWLS!
Since then they haven't been arched. I brush them so they're nice and
groomed but leave them thick for him. So in short... I say if you're in a
serious relationship... I do what I like... AND I like keeping HIM happy
and then I'm HAPPY!

I decided to grow long (back in04) wayyyyy before I met him. So me wanting long hair is a personal decision. Now when I had long hair or what he considered long..(BSB) was when he met me. He wanted me to keep my hair long.. I wanted to cut it and go natural. Welp we see who won that...LOL I cut my hair and put in kinky twist by the time he finally realized I cut it , it was 3 months later ..he didn't like it but He respected the fact that I wanted to be natural. If I mention cutting now though ,He will side eye me quick and tell me I did it once and that was enough ... I don't see the problem..his hair is long enough for the both of us...

I'd say he's half of the reason I keep it long. He's kept me from whacking it off in frustration a few times.

I grow my hair for me. An ex actually wanted to me cut my hair and dye it once. I was like no way jose!

DH likes my hair long or short, but if he preferred one or the other and I preferred the opposite I would go with what made me happy. I do consider what he likes so I would change it up and wear hairstyles that he likes even if I have to wear a wig or weave to achieve it.

My boyfriend (in this case) is defiantly a long hair man and met me with me waist length clip in's that at the time I was freaked out about him touching and feeling that it wasn't all mine. Even though I was growing my hair long before I met him, he's my current inspiration to reach waist length. I want him to be able to run his hands through my hair and have it fan out. I want that romantic "him dipping me dangerously low to the floor with his hand wrapped in a pool of my hair" kind of thing. He knows about my weaves and wigs and has a "no touching" policy when I have them on (which I enforced), but I know he really enjoys now brushing my hair back when it's freed from all that even though it's only shoulder(?) length. I want to make him and myself happy with my hair. Especially since we have started talking about marriage and kids....Ah love...
