Hair bagging

Could someone explain the purpose of hair bagging and the proceedure to do it properly? I saw under a few different posts that it's for drying hair, but I also saw that it's to wear under a fake ponytail. Could someone please clarify that for me? Thank you so much!

People baggy to provide intensive moisture to the hair. Some people baggy their whole head at night and some only baggy their ends, like in a ponytail. Here's a useful thread. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=92959&highlight=baggy+101
