I noticed I have have been slacking on my massages the last week or so. Massages seem to be a key component for people who get significant growth and want to stay on top of massages. Going to be posting massages along with Co Washes. Goal is daily massages

I'm sorry  I hope you all don't take it as bragging, I'm just sharing my journey and progress:hug2:

I don't have anyone in real life to talk hair with. I have a whole Facebook hair growth challenge group and no one is participating :cry3:

So I come here to share and get my fix :drunk2: I don't mean any harm.

My hair grows fast, but it's not really thick. It's medium/low density.

Have you tried any growth aides?
Don’t be sorry - I don’t take it as bragging it’s a fact about your hair. I’m happy for you. :)

I’m glad you can come here and get your hair conversation fix. I don’t really talk about hair in real life either. I don’t think any of my friend know how into hair I am.

I’ve never tried any growth aids. Maybe I’ll
look into that.

I'm on the fence about taking weekly pictures, but if you would commit to posting weekly pictures, we could start from weekend March 8th to weekend May 24th :)
I can do weekly pictures. But I’ll be on vacation for 2 weeks at the beginning of April so I doubt I will post for those weeks. When you say biweekly do you mean every 2 weeks? I can do that too

I’m up to 22 weeks weeks of washing/cowashing 2x a week and bunning every day.

I used to take my bun down every night or at least loosen it, but now I often sleep in my bun. I hope I’m not causing breakage. I worry that since my hair is constrained that when I move my head on the pillow the weight of my head could lead to breakage at the base of the bun. Even with my silk hair covering.

I need to stop being lazy and go back to loosening my bun before bed.

Hi everyone!!!

Been going through the thread to catch up. I haven't been online in a while as I was travelling for work.

@25InchesStarting'25 I would love to do the challenge, but I would probably be able to commit to weekly pictures. I try to do a low manipulation style that I keep in for a week, so I don't mess with my hair too much. But I would be in, except for when I have to travel for work.

My last wash day, I made a rinse with rosemary, cloves and hibiscus/rosella tea. I have been spraying this on my hair this whole week when I was travelling. My toxic trait is expecting to see progress after only a week of using this. But I will try to keep up with it, I have a spray bottle filled with this mixture that I want to use up. I will take down my African threading style sometime today to do my washday and install the next African threading style for the coming week. I do hope I will remember to take pictures today

Anyway, progress pictures so far. First picture was on 5 January, second picture 1 March. Definite progress that I am happy with, and my hair is getting darker and shinier with this regimen.

That is excellent progress. Looks like an inch a month.

I just watched the beginning of the 75 inches 75 days challenge. For sure I can do 3 of the 5 rules
- wash at least every 2 week
- eat healthly
- drink water

But I’m not going to give up my wide tooth comb for detangling and as we’ve discussed pictures will be weekly.

I stopped watching her video after the 5 rules because she does this smacking thing with her mouth and it was driving me crazy.

I have a long hair day ahead, will reply everyone after applying hair mask today :)

@GettingKinky and @VarieYvette thanks for committing to the challenge!! The challenge is from this weekend 3.8.25 to the weekend of 5.24.25
This should help us stay accountable with our regimens and keeping to healthy hair practice in daily life. Excited for our progress progress! :)

@GettingKinky already shared what tips she is taking from the challenge, what about you? @VarieYvette

For me...
-I'm already drinking plenty water. More than 30oz a day averaging about 50oz per day
-I don't use combs or brushes
-I wet hair almost daily and cleanse scalp 2x weekly
-I eat clean
-I take vitamins
-Will work on improving fitness for blood circulation (I'm in the 2025 Walking Challenge to help, haven't been doing that great so far  )
-Massaging scalp
**I can't remember is she mentioned massaging, but I know people with rapid and consistent growth make massaging a priority

@faithVA You should join us! weekly or biweekly :)
@snoop You think you can commit to Biweekly pics now? :)

Another major health tip is to stay away from seed oils (canola, vegetable, grapeseed, peanut, soybean, safflower, sesame, sunflower) I believe she spoke on this which was surprising (she really knows her stuff!) I don't think she went over what to use instead. You can use avocado oil, EVO (below 350), butter (below 250), ghee, lard (believe it or not it's healthier than seed oils :) ) I have not been consuming seed oils for a long period of time now. They are very toxic to our bodies and exacerbate a host of chronic inflammatory conditions and likely the increased incidents of skin cancer and other cancers over the years

Yeah I might. Let me reset my hair tomorrow and see where my head is at.

Today created two hair masks. Applied them on different sections of hair
1. Henna + Aloe + Alma
2. Cassia + Avocado Mayo + EVOO + Honey + Castor Oil + many other ingredients
Henna3.8.25.jpgMoistureMask3.8.25.jpg
This is what remained after using the Cassia Mix
LO-MoistMask3.8.25.jpg
Used these cubes to mix in with the Cassia Mix
GrowCubes3.8.25.jpg
Below is what is in the 4 cubes
Coconut milk | Clove + Rosemary | Onion | Fenugreek + Moringa + a lot of other things

DC'ing with heat right now for +1H...not sure if I'll post new start pic today since I got started late, it will likely be tomorrow since I don't want to rush :)

I think you're spot on about what damage from sleeping overnight with a bun might cause, however, if it's a "bantu bun" you shouldn't have any issues :)

So glad you're excited for the challenge! Congrats on your progress, your hair looks so healthy!! :)

How often will you be traveling for work?

You picked the most important tips! Maybe you can give her a second chance on that vid later

I mispoke about use of combs
I don't use brushes, but I do use Rat-Tail/Pin-Tail combs "partially" for parting hair in sections when needed. I say "partially" because I only pull the tail of the comb down a little bit then part the rest of my hair with my hands. Not sure if that made sense, but hopefully it does:)
