Grease is Great! Alma oil user of over hear. I use this on my scalp and vasaline on my ends with great results! Grease is Great! Grease is Great!

I used to use grease. I think it's called ultra sheen or something. Now it's just straight oils baby!

I use grease now. I just started back using it. I havent used grease since i went natural. My scalp has been itchy ever since i left grease alone and now its back apart of my regimen. I use the old school blue magic. It is great. The itching has subsided.

I had not been using grease on my scalp only oil. But my hair got so dry this week I am 8 weeks post and I usually relax this week but I am trying to go longer. None of my products would stop my hair from getting dry and itchy so I whipped out my old Mane and Tail grease and it did the trick.

Good Old Fashioned Ultra Sheen for me!!!1 I just put it on my ends after I put on moisturizer. My scalp is oily enough as it is.

I quit using grease after I joined the board and my scalp was dry and flaky and itched like crazy.

I tried oils, and still had itch.

Last week I greased my scalp lightly with Doo Gro Medicated Hair Vitatlizer, and my scalp looks healthier and is not flaky and itchy. I will probably keep greasing my scalp, but I need to find a grease that does not have petroleoum or mineral oil.

I used to use grease when I was a kid, but I stopped years ago b/c I didn't see the point of greasing the scalp b/c I never had a problem with my scalp, but I tried greasing my scalp a couple of weeks ago and I really like it. It keeps my new growth so soft, but I only grease after I wash my hair, if I do it more than that my scalp itches and my hair is too greasy. I use a liquid on my scalp first (now I'm using surge) and then I use grease (right now it's sulfur8 light). Then I just use the liquid on my scalp every night until wash day. Oh, I do use the liquid and grease technique on my hairline everyday so it will lay down and grow back in quicker.

Same here. I only do it on shampoo days after my final style is done. That's twice aweek for me. Anymore than that would be too greasy.

I use Holloywood Castor Oil in the jar, it is in a grease form but not gease it is all natural. Just easier to use and carry while traveling...

My mother always oiled my scalp and my hair was longer than what we would consider BSL. I really don't think my mother knew anything about grease.

I use MTG on my scalp now.

For those who don't grease your scalp. Do your scalp get dry and flaky without anything on it?

I use parnevu oil

Parnevu grease

dax supergro oil

olive oil creme (for my ends)

And thinking about ordering some MTG :look:
I haven't greased my scalp in about 6 months and I have no flaking. I do use WGO on my scalp which maybe why.

I grease my scalp more in the winter months when the air is dry. I tend to shed a lot more when its colder. Now that it's getting warm I still use grease but less frequently. My hair grows just fine with it

I don't grease my scalp, but I use it on my ends as a sealant after washing. My favorites are All Ways Castor Oil, Pro-line's Coconut oil, Softee Indian Hemp and Coconut Oil greases. I put Boundless Tresses on my scalp.

I use nothing on my scalp in order to keep it clean and let my folicles breathe. I do put light natural oils, like coconut oil, on my hair to seal in moisture.

No, I never use grease. I prefer using organic oils. I like products on my scalp/hair that are light.:) I think that grease is too heavy for my hair.

no I dont use grease. personally i think it's garbage at least on my hair. my family would use TONS of grease on my hair and scalp when I was younger to "moisturize" my hair and scalp and guess what my hair stayed at ear length for more than a decade. it wasn't until i stopped that my hair started to retain length.

I can't remember the lats time I saw a flaky scalp or dandruff in my hair.

no, i don't use grease on my scalp neither. Boundless tresses is what i'm applying to my scalp, other than that typically nothing.

no, but you want to know what?? if i have to scratch my head right before a relaxer or have pain or scab from scratching in my scalp anywhere, I will put a touch of dax on it and all will be healed by the next day

I use nothing. I've discovered that I don't even need anything on my scalp, in fact, it's actually quite oily...

I use ORS Carrot oil, just on the back of my head. That is where I have hair broken off. I do this the night after I wash twice a week. I do it at night because I don't like the smell. I'm going to be changing to a sulphur mixture soon.

I like grease/oils, but only the good kind, not the mineral oil/petroleum filled ones.

I like using Boundless Tresses on my scalp.

Another favorite "grease" of mine is Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream. It's great on the scalp and hair shaft. Very nourishing and moisturizing.

I also like using Nature's Blessings Pomade (grease) for shine when slicking back my hair. The ingredients state that it does contain pure mineral jelly, but it's way down on the list, and I haven't noticed any bad effects from it.

Sometimes I do. My scalp gets very dry and if I do I use Softee Castor Oil or my Almond Oil & EVOO mixture. Very little of either in the dry areas.
