I put absolutely nothing on my scalp except occasional oil (still rare)...or if I am trying some sort of topical growth aid. The rest of my products are simply for my hair length and ends.

I grease my scalp about 2-3 times a week. I use Tea Tree Oil Triple Gro and it works great on my hair. When I don't use grease I use Surge on my scalp.

I just started last month using La India Wonder Creme and my scalp loved it I had not used grease in 2 years.

I have been using Qhemet products as "grease" for the scalp
All of them are mineral oil,wax and petroleum free

Tea Tree and Grapeseed Therapeutic pomade

Amla Oil Nourishing Pomade

Herbs and Sulfur Medicinal Scalp Pomade(new product)

same here, i use a lil bit here and there, especially on the edges and nape.

I can't use grease or I'll get dandruff within 48 hrs. It makes my scalp itchy, flakey, and very sore. Once in a blue I'll use jojoba oil on my scalp, but even that is a bit heavy and I end up washing it out within a few days. My scalp is rarely dry and I don't need anything on it.

I use grease on the last 3-4 inches of my hair to seal in my leave-in+oil. It is the bomb for keeping my ends moist. I used to have to use a moisturizer on my ends about 2-3 times a day, now I can literally skip a day or two as long as I still keep using my baggie.

Scorpian how are these products working for you? I'm trying to find a natural pomade to use.

For those who don't grease your scalp. Do your scalp get dry and flaky without anything on it?

I use parnevu oil

Parnevu grease

dax supergro oil

olive oil creme (for my ends)

And thinking about ordering some MTG :look:

Please do not use MTG when pregnant, there was a previous thread, about one of the ingredients (I think it was sage), having abortification properties, or something along those lines...

I have dry scalp and greese my scalp once a week after I wash and blow dry my hair. I use BB's Super Gro Extra light greese. It does not weight your hair down or clog your pores.

I stopped using grease and oil on my scalp after I started finding out about black hair care. It always made my scalp itch really bad. It was a relief to find out that I didn't have to use grease or oil anymore. I just wash twice a week with a moisturizing poo and conditioner and I'm all set.

No flakes or anything. My dresser suggested not to grease for two weeks as a test. Now i dont at all. She said some blacks stunt growth by having clogged scalps with all the extra oil.

Foremost, beautiful curls Mysweetevie. I had a similiar experience. I just read to give going without grease a try. Before, I had lots of problems with dry flakey scalp. Since I quit using grease it's no more. I simply use a hair dress on my hair each night, and I don't put anything directly on my scalp.

I don't grease my scalp since joining this forum. My hair healthier than it has ever been and I don't find that I need to grease it anymore. I did so before thinking that it would help my dandruff but it was probably not dandruff and just buildup from greasing the scalp:eek:

I put grease (cocunut) on my hair as a sealant last night for the first time just to see if it keeps the moisture in longer that using oils. I also bought some Silk Elements tea tree hair grease too.

i dont use grease. i never grew up with the notion that i had too...
my scalp doesnt get dry either.. i usually wash 2-3 times a week.

I been using the Minoval (hair growth aid)Pommade with castor oil and my hair loves it and its not as greasy as reg hair grease.

Sometimes I do, but not very often like whenI was younger. I use Softee Coconut Oil or Silk Elements Herbal Scalp Dressing.
