it only snips the very tips. you really can't even tell something happened to your hair. when you look in the chamber you see little bitty tips of hairs.
it also helps me track how healthy my ends are. if they're a mess, the chamber will be full of lil' hairs, & vice versa
i also love how it's a way to snip the ends of ALL your hair, including any short hairs you have, not just the bottom of your hair like a regular trim
Word of advice: use it on straight hair, and do small, well-detangled sections. the brush CAN snag.
MissA you took the word right out of my mouth. Looks like I can't use it on blowdried hair. I haven't even attempted to flatiron my hair yet. Anyways I have always been intersted in this but I will be waiting on more reviews. I haven't trimmed or dusted since my BC back in 10-09. My ends are so dry this might help. IDK I am waiting on some more reviews though, particularly from naturals, type 4 would be nice.
Plus the youtube videos say that your hair has to be free of product, naked. That means blowdrying and flatironing my fragile 4b hair with no heat protectant? The splitender would really get a workout because that would probably damage my hair.
I'm just going to have to do Tracee's method I guess!
Any naturals, particularly 4 somethings, try this yet?
