Okay, I surrender! A couple of hours ago I found out about this site and read appx 50 posts! Now, I must admit I am addicted to you

I am thinking about wearing braids, just to prevent my hands from using heat and other 'methods' over my hair. My original hair is dark brown very curly and now it's blond to white and I love this color. But they are also very hard, very fine and not shiny at all

Do you have any suggestions before I proceed to the braiding solution?? If it is a solution at all..

Thnx!

LHCF is addictive.
And bad for the pocketbook.
But great for your hair!
I would think twice before putting in braids. If you do, be sure to use a good protein conditioner, followed by a good moisturizing conditioner before you get them done. Your hair sounds like it is damaged.

UmSumayyah is right, addictive and costly!!!

But you'll have happy hair.

I would do lots of deep conditioning and a few protein treatments, w/heat before getting braids. Maybe you should consider another protective style or baggie ponytail until your hair has more vitality.

Addictive-bad for the pocket book and I would like to agree and add...bad for your rump. I find myself running to see whats new on the site and who said what. I end up sitting here in this chair for longer than planned. Not good for the hips! Have to make sure I work them extra when I workout!

There are 2 weeks now that I wash my hair every 3 days, but now I started playing basketball again and I cannot wait for 3 days!!! It's way too long and I will feel dirty at work etc. I use conditioner after shampooing and use a mask once per week. Yesterday when I returned from practice, I shampooed it, conditioned it and brush it lightly and put it in a silk bun and went to bed. Today my hair is a little more soft, but I wear it in a bun also because it looks bad when natural..

Do you suggest any good protein conditioner /mask??
