I don't consider myself a Newbie anymore. But I am still learning sooooo much!

I used to post a couple times a day, but thought I better get some work done. So now I check in once or twice a week.

Found LHCF in Oct 2006, joined the same day
BS in Mass Communications
Career has been advertising/marketing.
Have an entreprenuerial spirit.
Happily married with three grown daughters, a son-in-law and two grandsons.
Love the Lord with all my heart, soul and strength.
Love family.
Enjoy music, interior decorating, reading, writing, web development.
49 years old and loving life even more as time marches on.
Almost at my second goal length (maybe two inches from APL)

Well, I am definitely a newbie after lurking on the site for a year. However, tired of getting conflicting information on hair care from my stylist and another unmentioned hair forum, I realized this site had the most comprehensive and accurate information about hair. Therefore, today I have commited myself to focusing on my hair and getting it healthy.

Congrats on graduating! And good luck with your entrance exam! Ever since I was a little girl, I told everyone I was going to be doctor. I played the board game Operation, wore play doctors scrubs, everything! Then during my sophmore year in HS, I joined a one-year volunteer's program for future Pre-Med students geared towards minority students: black, latinos, asians, indians, etc. The program rotated us to different depts to get an overall view of the entire hospital. I made it to the eleventh month, until I did my rotation in wound care, and got freaked out....INSTANTLY I became prelaw.

Sometimes I wonder what could have been though.

Hello Everyone!!

When I was younger I always said that I wanted to be a Pediatrician and a Lawyer. (LIke I said I was young and had no idea about the many years in school )

I still love kids, but my body gets stiff when I see children/people who are in pain or have an illness that is visible. My heart goes out to them and I literally get stiff in the neck and my bones begin to hurt. I know it is weird, but I have been this way for a while now. I don't know where it came from. So I said all of that to say...I start law school in August.

BTW: I really could not see myself poking some child with a needle, or checking out an injury. I am getting stiff just thinking about it.

Girl, the whole law thing shocked everyone, 'cause I had wanted to be doctor ever since I was 5 years old. I read college catalogs, and could not stop yapping about it. I had fully intended to go thru w/it until I saw the open wounds during my 11th month of the HS one year program. And around the same month, I had a family member who was going thru a divorce, bankruptcy, and criminal problems all at once, and she needed my help translating to her attorneys (I speak French/Haitian Creole). And after a year or so of constantly visiting different attorneys, one of lawyers mentioned that I should think about this field because there are not enough minority lawyers. And from there I made a firm decision.
