Fun thread: What type of men do you typically attract?

Older men (40+)
West Indian men (especially Jamaicans)
Married men (IDK why but it's annoying as hell :wallbash:)
I have had the geriatric West Indian men try to court me. They are sweet and very pleasant, and I like older guys, but I can not hang out with 72 yo WI men or 72 yo men period. I did go out with a 55 yo WI, he had it going on, but he was trying to "wifey" me by the end of the date. Notice I said, "Wifey" not "Wife". I got rid of him quickly and I all I told him is that I want to start having babies right away. He told me he already had 7 and didn't want anymore. Never heard from him again.

Next time I'm approached by a guy I'm not feeling with 50-11 kids, I'm gonna use that tactic!

Old Arabs and Old africans and they all say "can i have your number so we can become friends" seriously!!!

EVERY.SINGLE.ONE.OF.THEM

Well I mainly attract cancers. I have sworn off of cancers so many times but any time i meet osmeone and the chemistry is crazy garanteed it's a cancer.

The type of guys I typically meet are either thugged out or police officers. I don't like either of these two groups, really i don't. but that's what i get. it's a hot mess.

Last couple of guys

1) PHD student in computer sci
2) loan shark (had no idea till til was too late)
3) College grad/musician
4) NBA asst coach
5) thug
6) MBA student
7) Naval officer

yea no professional consistency on my part lol... Their profession is usually that last bit of info I get. I look at the man not his wallet

That reminds me I recently went through a 3 year phase where I attracted nothing but Capricorns. It drove me crazy because despite what astrology says, I'm not sure I'm compatible with them.:ohwell:

It's hard to know a man's profession when he is randomly stepping to you. Many many men tell a woman they are a lawyer when they are a paralegal... law student when they are really just thinking about applying... executive when they are really an executive assistant :lachen:

I must have an invisible sign on me that says "Blue Collar Tradesmen Types Apply Here!"

All kinds. Most recent (Since I've turned 30....I'm 31).

1. Hair dresser
2. Mid-level state government worker
3. Financial Advisor
4. Not-for-profit program organizor
5. Financial business owner
6. Warehouse professional working on IT certs.

Don't know if I attract a type, short men like me a lot. Because they can be noticeably taller than me.

I'm around nerds a lot, so them, too.

I'm married, so I don't get to the point of having conversations to find out their profession, but I get approached most by guys under 20 and guys over 35 (I'm 23).

The weirdest was when I took my younger cousins to the park and I got hit on by this fast little 12-year-old. I was 19 at the time. He said he thought I was "like 11 or 12, or maybe 13" and he wasn't joking. What?!
Little boy, stop. Go the hell home.

From the time I was 22-25...

- Computer Engineer
- Health Care Executive
- Architect
- Successful Graphic Designer
- Business man (operations management)
- Professional Athletes
- Academia
- Law students

There is definitely more to these men than their careers all of them were good looking, in shape, God-fearing, family oriented and baby mama free, but yeah... No d-boys or the likes.

I do get hit on by random men, but we never get past my, "No, thank you."

Go spend time in BK...esp Fort Greene, Target First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum, etc. I am sure you will meet someone. BK dudes love natural sistas! If I lived closer to BK I'd go there more often to hang out. Habana Outpost during the summer is another nice place and there's this bar around the corner from Habana on the same block that's kicking on the weekends.

To get with the professional dudes, maybe casually strike up convo with them in a non-aggressive way, like "oh, nice shirt" or make a joke. Esp since you're an Alpha female, you probably have to initiate the convo if you want a shyer dude.

Good luck!

OT, I'm in a rlp, but I LOOOVE that area. My bff and I hang out there most weekends in the summer. Great restaurants too.

Married men :nono:
Accountant x 2:nono::ohwell:
Physician :nono:
Web Developer
Prison guard :look:
Unemployed dude :perplexed

It's annoying when I think of it, but I cannot say I don't get any attention from guys, it's just from the wrong ones!
Update: Add another Accountant :wallbash:, and another Computer dude to the list

Hmm...this is interesting to think about:

--law student
--political activist
--grad student
--paralegal
--basketball coach
--youth minister
--sales exec
--police officer
--accountant

I can live with that. (of course I left out the duds--those in "entertainment", nondescript about their job, etc.)

There really hasn't been a "type" that has approached me, and I can't say that I have a particular type either.

- Gym trainer(s) #seerightthruthat (one was from Haiti-and he was hot, other from Trinidad-and he was old)
- Lawyer originally from Bahamas
- Engineer originally from Sudan
- African-American auto factory worker
- White Italian journalist
- Jamaican dude-unknown (his breath stank so I didn't wanna get close :perplexed)
- And a bunch more randoms who don't get the time of day whatsoever.

For some reason, American guys don't seem to approach me much. :nono:

I used to attract tall, chocolate basketball players.....now I seem to atrract tall, blond guys from the midwest (at least online).

Foreign PhD students- Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science etc.
Foreign Public Policy Interns
International Contracted Workers
Lawyers (usually foreign born)
OLD Diplomats
And SUPER OLD WHITE MEN (these seem to be the only Americans that take interest, besides the "yo shorty" guys on the street but do the "yo shorty" guys count? i swear they holler at everyone!)

Overall I'm not too disappointed. My teenage cousin the other day was like, " how do you meet all these smart guys" lol I dont have an answer, but I'm pleased with my dating pool!
