Hey y'all...

Long story short... I made WL in Oct 13, but lost a lot of volume in my hair due to post partum shedding.

I decided to transition to texlaxed cos I needed my hair to be thicker but didn't want to deal with natual + texlaxed + bonelaxed ends so I decided to transition to natural instead + I was very confident I knew how to grow my relaxed hair to WL but hadn't succeeded in doing it natural (longest I grew natural was BSB) so I wanted another challenge.

I thought I was going to transition for 1 yr, but in the last couple weeks, Ive been looking a ham.. Texture difference was crazy.. I was sick of detangling etc... so I cut like 8 inches in February hoping to make it better ..... Anyway, I'm starting a new job next week, and have 2 very important events to go this summer.... I need to look my best.

So the plan is to PS in braids till the end of the year (braiding multiple textures + detangling would have just been a pain) so I decided to big chop... so I only have to deal with one texture. Transitioned for 6 months total... Enjoy the pictures..

Oh, I feel okay... lol.. I knew exactly what I was going to look like so I wasnt like "oooooh.. I love my natural hair" or "ahhhhh.... I look like a lil boy... " lol... I actually felt quite good... I can happily rock this until I get my braids in.

You look beautiful!!! I just did the same thing lastweek. It was euphoric seeing all the dead mess my daughter cut off my hair. I was in dire need of this big trim.

JudithO - Congrats! You look awesome. i will be following you very closely since I am currently 5months post, and trying to transition to natural too. You hair is exactly the same type and texture as mine, so i will keep an eye on the products and techniques you use to grow.
