Fragrance oil for fresh smelling Hair

I was wondering, in order to make your hair smell fresh and clean, is it okay to add like 3 drops of fragrance oil to your custom spray bottle mixtures. I bought some fragrance oil from Bath and Body Works and I added 3 drops to my glycerin/water mixture.... this isn't harmful right?

I hope not because I wanted to purchase some fragrance oil for my sulphur mixture, I would like to know the answer to this question as well.
