Do Fragrance Oils Dry Out Your Hair

From some of my posts, I think some of y'all can tell by now that I am really sensitive to smells. I am a big fan of EVOO and would love to use it as a hair oil instead of just putting it in conditioners or as a pre-poo. Well I put a few drops of FNWl's rose fragrance oil in it (actually maybe a capful -- it couldnt have been a little more than a teaspoon)this morning and left it. I came back and the EVOO smelled so good -- it actually smelt like roses. I would not be ashamed to wear this around. Now, the FNWL rose oil is synthetic, which I finally got their rude-as-heck customerservice rep to admit to me, so I am worried that, while it smells good, it might not be good for my hair. Does anyone have any experience with FNWL and fragrance oils in general?

I would love to use real rose absolute oil but that stuff is super expensive, I am talking 50 bucks for a tiny bottle that isnt even an ounce. So I would love to hear how FNWL's fragrance oils and fragrance oils in general have worked out on your hair. To make matters worse, the stupid a#% FNWL customer service people wouldn't even tell me what was in the fragrance oil, so I can't judge it based on the ingredients, they would only admit that it was synthetic.

TIA for your response.
