My hair is fine, thin, and colored. It's dry as straw (literally) when wet, but this gives it vitality again and keeps it from breaking off and brings the life back to it. Wonderful stuff. I need a gallon! One secret, my hairstylist said don't wash it out. You apply it for 3-5 minutes after washing, and rinse. Washing it out removes half the good stuff! I leave it in...rinse and style. When it's wet, it feels funny because of the product, but it's soft when dried and full of body

I got that review on of Makeupalley. Has anyone ever tried it this way?

The couple of times I used it just rinsed it out. I didn't even think you were supposed to wash it out:lol:

No harm though. After the emergencee I used a DC.

before i bought it, i checked out the reviews and followed this lady's advice and thats what ive been doing ever since

I just used emergencee an hour ago but as always i shampooed out with a gentle conditioner, ive never tried leaving it in,, as im rinsing it always feels quite sticky so i wouldnt dare leave it in lol, at least if im gonna straighten it

I never have to shampoo mine out because it rinses pretty well. But I do have to deep condition though. I could never just rinse and style. I am not a big deep conditioner, but I do after something like Emergencee.

Hmmm I never thought to try this. I usually let it dry hard like Aphogee and then rinse and condition.

Me three. Except I let it stay in for about 30 minutes, I would never let it dry hard, then rinse and style. Ever.

why not let emergencee dry hard ? would it harm your hair ?

I couldn't get anything out of the link above...hmmm

I let it dry hard all the time.

But what I was saying was I never go without deep conditioning afterwards.

This tip is how emergencee actually USED to be used in the past. However, it caused a lot of breakage for ppl and the washing out directions have only been added in the past couple of years. There's a thread here somewhere that talks about this.

This is one of my staples..it makes my hair amazing after I use it.

I slather it on pile my hair on top of my head, sit under the dryer with no cap until its hard and then rinse out with water.

I follow with a deep conditioner and I'm all set..not a shed or broken hair anywhere

same here...so I definitely follow with a moisturizing deep conditioner.

You know most times I never let it get all the way hard. It does in some spots though. It still works just as well.
