Re: For those with FINE hair...have you ever just said..forget this hair growing stuf
TaylorT do you know any? I need some inspiration. I've been trying to reach APL since I joined the board.
Yes, YES, and YAS!!! I know exactly what you mean.
My hair is fine and VERRRY tightly coiled! I feel that I very limited to hairstyles because my hair is so fine. And sometimes I feel like I'm going against nature or whatever by trying to grow my hair out.
I have so many splits so I feel like I'm constantly trimming length. I'm sure things would be simpler if I had just medium (not even thick!) hair. *sigh*
I have so much respect for fine haired women who grow their hair to long lengths, ESPECIALLY fine AND 4B.

SL or shorter the rest of my life.
I'm currently BSB and I know I can get it longer, but I know that I won't be able to rock some of the styles in the same way that thick/high density hair can.

I want my hair to be at least MBL in my longest layers (my back and nape area), shoulder in the front, and below shoulder on the sides.
But it worked! I just passed APL with a few strands skimming BSL. Of course I had to trim it back, but yay! I passed the APL hurdle!
I would need to do my twists way bigger and probably need them to be at least a week old.
I've transitioned, bc'd, and re-relaxed twice before. I wanna at least reach some kinda length goal before I give up again. Plus, you know what they say: going natural doesn't solve hair problems cuz you'll just keep doing the wrong thing. I'm using this time to learn my hair. I'm trynna get down to four t-u's/ year, giving me plenty of time to 'learn my texture'. Hopefully, the next time I go natural (tomorrow or ten years from now), it'll stick because I can handle it.
