ITA!!! couldn't have said it better myself! :)

i wanted to say, for a while now, youre natural hair is EXACTLY like mines..in fact i was looking in your album girl and it was like i was looking into the mirror..i think your natural hair looks so much better and more moisturized than the permed hair...i wish i had as much courage as you to go natural...mannnn im jealous! ;););)

Yes she and her hair is beautifulll (that's with 3 L's). I have to agree with Koffie though. Where are the type 4a/b natural gurlz at with waist length hair???

Thats what i'm sayin',i totally luv that gurls hair but,hey i'm a 4a type .............mainly my hair types are a true natural inspiration to me,cuse i can see the potential for my hair, with someone of the same hair type.:)

i think thats the best way anyone of us can look at that..for some it really will be an inspiration because its their similar hair type..others its going to be just a beautiful head of hair..i know shes an inspiration to me because god willing if i cut this perm out i know we'd have similar textures and coils...

im thinking when she titled it "for those who want natural inspiration" (and i could be wrong) i think she meant it literally and figuartively for some...literally because some people on this board have similar hair type so thats a "realistic inspiration" and figuratively because its just a beautiful head of hair so that can inspire some to go natural and maybe try their own luck at having a free natural head of hair...you know?

Yeah i totally get what your sayin' meia..........But for me i haven't seen hardly any "NATURAL LONG 4A HEADS" only chemically treated at that length. As a black woman she is inspiration, and proof that we can grow hair at great lengths!!!!!!!!!!!

If anybody seen any PLEASE POST THEM!! .....................Thanks,:)

i'm definitely going to look for you!!! i know that a lot of women on here would find that type of inspiration inspiring to their hair growth and health...and so it would be very beneficial...my thing is ive got at least another year or so until i reach any significant length thats closer to my goal so...its not going to be natural (:mad:dissapointing) but im going to have to make that trek step by step.. until then i gotta keep my head up..

im definitely going to keep looking though..i want everyone to be inspired to shoot for realistic dreams that they themselves feel are attainable..

nobody said anything about looking like that in two years??
I know that, I just stated in my post that a twa wasn't going to look like that in 2yrs. Going along w/ most here are inspired by someone else with their own hair type.
anyway i used to post on NC.com and on there she claimed to be a 3c so i'm running with that. i don't plan on having hair that long...my goal is closer to her 25 inches shots...
but that doesnt mean she can't be an inspiration to all refer to what I wrote to Porchse and mermaid...
and what does being mixed have to do with anything.
Lets be real, the MAJORITY of women of color that I see in the south who grow their natural, un-stretched, un-flat ironed, un-pressed hair that long are biracial. It is a RARITY to see a black woman who was born to two AA parents with unstretched hair that long that has not been thermally or chemically treated.
im mixed too does that mean i cant post here?
Please show me where I said mixed folks can't post here? :ohwell: im not trying to debate/argue with you here so please dont get upset...your post just confused me is all

My sentiments in blue....

I'm kicking myself because I can't remember her name right now but there is a member here with close to waist length hair and I think she said she is 4a! Dang I cant remember her username! But I remember visiting her album and I was in awe!

her hair is beautiful...**** hair typing seriously...her hair grew long its healthy and deserves to be recognized...hence the LONG HAIR CARE FORUM. I show the same people with 4b hair love so it can be vice versa. Also her hair is very tightly curled. All of the pictures you see are of her hair wet with conditoner/get in it, so it will stretch her hair, and making it look similar to a type 2.

Yes Nay does, check out her pics.
I posted this b/c there were too many I'm giving up, Ive had it, posts on here lately so I know seeing someone else who is natural reach a long hair goal inspires me to keep on going.
There are others who are 3-4, 4 type who have long natural hair theres more I know I just dont know them all. This was to inspire all curly/kinky hair types that it can be done, genetics aside, if you read her hair journey or many of the ladies who have reached their goals genetics didn't really help them much when they were abusing their hair. ;)

Den /Den1 (i think she's transitioning now) she's acheived WSL natural already before.

Peachtree and Cincybrownsugar have beautiful natural hair @ or passed BSL.

like i said i wasnt trying to argue with you i just wanted some clarification...

when i said the thing about being mixed i didnt mean literally not posting here...it was more just wondering why women with hair textures other than 3b/c and women who arent mixed cant be inspired by her hair...i worded the question wrong and i apologize

You didn't offend me, but I do accept the apology if you feel that you did. :ohwell:

That comes from me seeing and hearin' type four folks talkin' about how they want representation.

And women w/her hair type who aren't mixed SHOULD be inspired by her hair. Hence, if they have similar hair types then, I think there is more room for inspiration. Shoot, I even mentioned earlier how her hair type wasn't too much diff, than mines and that she was an inspiration to me (my curls are a bit tighter), and may very well be to some of the other posters in this thread. :yep:

oh ok thats cool...

but i think we can all agree that regardless of ethnicity or hair type that girl has some GORGEOUS hair! :yep:

You know who her hair reminds me of? Troy Polamalu who plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both of them have the same super long, thick, mega kinky/curly hair. The kind of hair that makes you go    in a good way!

I agree she has lovely hair. :) I understand where Koffee is coming from to tho, as the same thought crossed my mind. I also understand the need to see someone like yourself working with your same hair type reach long hair goals. People dont always know what they are capable of so seeing someone in your same situation acheive a goal starts to break down the mental mindset that you cant do it and expands your horizons. I think we can agree that some hair types are more fragile than others, where even tho they can get to mega-lengths, they require more/different care to avoid breakage and thinning. It takes a long time to get over mainstream brainwashing about black hair. This site and the members here reaching their goals, regardless of type, are an inspiration to me. :) In any event, I think we can all celebrate another long haired sista!!

Oh Snippity Snap! How could I forget Chicoro! Lil mama gots some hurrr!!

Whoa!! Are there any pics? I looked at her link, but it was just a text journal.

Then there is Stephanie Suthers thigh length at Hairobics!!! Den 1 had her natural hair to her waist! Adrienne, Charlie at Black Hair Care and Body Check out the Ladies at Grow Afro Hair Long and www.hairoil.com and Cathy Howse to see more potentials regardless of your hair type, We also have Vintage Coily locks at this board and check out the waistlength to thighlength challenge on this board....we have such short memories, ya'll lol. Bonjour

I don't think Jade21 has any pics on the internet. I also think she said her hair is 2c or something...

What is wrong with me...?

When I read the title of the thread, I was expecting to see a woman with 4a/b hair...

Basically, I was expecting a more BLACK woman. My fault, though, and no offense to the model or the poster.

Yes, the hair is beautiful... mine won't look like that when I go natural, however, me being the 4a/b woman that I am.

What is natural to some, is not natural to all.

Koffie... all I can say is I wish I had read your reply FIRST!

How do you happen to explain my own inner thoughts so beautifully? BINGO!

Especially those comments in BLUE, as highlighted by another poster.

Nooo, not short memories, lol! I just don't frequent the hair board, I mainly hang out in the OT board. Den1 and Adrienne are familiar here- Adrianne's hair used to be the title banner for LHCF. I rarely go to other hair boards., so I'm not up on who has what length hair.
