couple of question....

first, i went to get seabreeze, but i saw that witch hazel was on sale and was around $3 less than the sea breeze...they are pretty much the same thing right??

and second. how do you apply it?? do you do the cotton swab/Q-tip thing, or do you use a spray bottle or some other type of applicator???

and also, if this gets on my actual hair, will bad things happen, or is it fine??

TIA!

I'm interested as well--I would be afraid to put astringent on my scalp because I would be afraid it would get on my hair and make it dry. I guess if you moisturize your hair first any sea breeze/witch hazel that gets on it won't totally strip the hair

I was considering that too. After much research I've decided not to wash my hair every single day. Considering I work out everyday, I need something that'll clean my scalp. The only thing I can suggest is using something skinney to apply it being careful not to get it on the hair. If a tiny bit gets on the hair, it shouldn't dry it out too badly.

<font color="purple">Black Cardinal, Shantini, I use either Sea Breeze or Witch Hazel to clean my scalp while wearing my braids. You can use a Q-Tip and dip it in or, I would rather use a cotton ball and saturate it with either the above. Apply only to the scalp, and not your hair (FYI: Sea Breeze has alcohol and it can dry out your hair). You'll love that tingling affect knowing that your scalp is clean and refreshed. Glad to help.

no prob, BC!! happens all the time..hehe...

so, in the event that i do get some on my hair...will just making sure to moisturize help me out of that situation?? or will i have to get in the shower and shampoo??

If a little happens to get on your hair, as long as you moisturize afterward, you should be okay. Now, if a lot gets on your hair then, yes I would say wash.

Not sure about witch hazel, but I normally use sea breeze, I part through hair, and apply sea breeze w/ a cotton ball then after I have applied throughout my entire head, I apply cholesterol and plastic cap, sit under dryer for 15 - 20 mins, and rinse out and proceed with leave in conditioner etc..... but I do shampoo 1st, I noticed when I had oil buildup b//c my scalp would absorb the oil it worked and also stimulated the natural sebum oils to produce....
