How are you doing? Did you make any changes? What did you learn? Any new styles? Or are you still grinding out the same reliable regimen...same 'ole, same 'ole?

I've had length & health progress though, and that's always good. Lots of trial and error though, and feeling overwhelmed & discouraged at times.
Hey, hun!Hey LadyEsquire!
I learned that winter is the devil on my hair. I had to deal with some bad dryness.
I dont have any length progress because I cut off about 2 1/2 inches.
My goal for this year was just to grow back my sides. They've been my problem area for a while now. They are broke off so badly. I stopped perming them until they get to a decent length. And they are growing very slowly but surely.
I pretty much have the same regimen.
How's your hair doing?
Loca, glad to hear that the "no perming the sides" regimen is working. Nursing breakage takes a great deal of patience. Keep up with your regimen, and try steam treatments to combat dryness. And just enjoy the hair the best you can while it grows. Struggling! I've been trying to find a regimen that works, as well as products that work. My progress in the various challenges has been iffy, but I think I'm on the right track. I've spent much of the last 3 months in twists & twist-outs. I "dusted" 1/2 inch the other night, so that was a month's progress gone, but what can you do.I've had length & health progress though, and that's always good. Lots of trial and error though, and feeling overwhelmed & discouraged at times.
There are a few bandwagons I jumped on that I'm coming off, especially for the 2nd quarter. I think my hair will fare a lot better in the 2nd quarter than it did this quarter. I plan on being in braids for April, and half of May. I'm just ready for winter to end! This has been an especially brutally winter and my dryness is off the scales.![]()
OMG..I started bunning since finding LHCF. I havent did that since 98!

I'm really not sure because I'm not doing length checks until the second quarter of 09. I really hope I'm close to APL by June!
I've made some pretty good progress despite the fact that I lost an inch and a half.. it's alot thicker and healthier... I also have been trying the low manipulation thing and that seems to be helping
I've some great progress. My longest layer is APL and I know for a fact now that my hair grows much faster in the winter...![]()

I don't think it went so well. I am having severe post partum shedding. Hair appears to be coming out in clumps and I have breakage everywhere. But I'm DCing, taking vitamins, and keeping the manipulation very low. I hope things get better soon.

I feel your pain. Its a waiting game. I am also DCing, popping vits, and doing a low-mani regimen. I'm justing waiting it out. Can't wait for it to be over. Same ol same ol basically. Its growing like weeds again.I think I should be full wsl by the time summer is over give or take a few inches after I get a blunt trim.
. I plan to continue my stretch until July 1 and hope to gain another 2 inches
