So for the past few months my hair and I have been in love. I keep it up and close to me at all times, baby it, give it scalp massages, hand feed it some delicious foods, all of it!!:dinner: My hair has in turn rewarded me by giving up some of its secrets.

Lately I've noticed that I have a fairly large patch of hair that grows in practically straight. I am about 16 weeks post texlax touchup and have got A LOT of lovely, thick, coily, curly, new growth. But not here!! It's perfectly smooth and silky from root to tip with the barest hit of a wave. It definitely has gotten longer, so it's not some sort of freakish lack of growth.

At first I thought that I was being a little silly and it was just probably an area of my my hair that got super smooth from my rollersets, since I am quickly becoming a master at that! :D But then i took a picture of my hair today up in a high bunlette for the first time;) and I discovered that the mysterious patch was even a different color!! See for yourselves!!

(Umm, ignore that dry spot on my neck, winter is rough 'round these parts:look: ) See that straighter, smoother stripe of hair in the back that is also a brighter red than the rest (thanks henna!)? That's the spot!! :)

My hair is proving to be a tangle of mysteries and secrets that I'm having soooo much fun learning about! What have you found out about your hair recently?

I have a patch at my temple that's light brown, almost reddish blond in the summertime. The texture is different than the rest of my hair too... Straight up 4zzzzzzzzzzzz!

The hair at the top/front of my head grows really silky and has the prettiest wave in it. Also since the overall health of my hair is far better I've learned that I've got about 4 different textures which is why when I went natural before I was so upset/it was fug. Now that I'm learning to work with it my hair response so sweetly by not freaking out on me. :)

Well..... :look:

I recently discovered by 4b hair is turning on me! :( I'm just over 5 months post, and I have discovered loose and loopy 3b spirals among my crimps! I had my parents and sisters confirm the sighting, and they are equally surprised. It is a bit disconcerting.

I hope it's not spreading as I know hair can change texture over the years. :( I'm not sure I know what to do with the 3b stuff. :ohwell:
