From shoulder length, relaxed and dyed in 05 to APL, natural and dye free in 08, to BSL in 2010 then having a SHS chop my hair back to APL in 2010 and now BSL possibly MBL in 2012. So after FOREVER I'm finally at my second milestone Next stop WL, hope it doesnt take another 7 years!

Pretty hair.... Love your color too... And U re making me sooo optimistic about my hair journey cuz I was thinking this was my year 3 on my hair journey and I am not near my goals... Oh well it might just take longer :)

Who cares how long it took, you made it!!!! Congratulations!!!

beau=tee=ful!!!

love the color! i too understand the perils of a long hair journey....isn't it worth it though?! :)

Congratulations!!!! Ahhh what a feeling!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing. It feels like getting to BSL is taking forever and a day. This thread is really encouraging.

Thanks ladies, thats actually multiple colors as I dye my own hair with whatever blonde dye for African American hair I can find. I usually re dye it after 4-6 months.
Ha my regi is super simple! I really dont have one... I co wash every 2-3 days, run some condish and water over my hair and put it in a bun.
I only heat style for New years, Valentines, my September anniversary and my November birthday.
I've gotten it trimmed 2x a year since being totally natural in 08, found a someone who doesn't chop inches of hair just last year though and thats it!

Thanks again ladies, it's been a long journey but its definitely worth it to finally see some progress!
