FHI RAVE

i know some of you already love the FHI and i do too. this is a product rave for my mom though.
my moms hair is the coarsest(sp?) hair in the whole world. i usually press her hair with a straightening comb every sunday and by thursday her hair is a poofy mess. keep in mind that she iss relaxed :wallbash:. the relaxer does nothing for her hair. i guess her hair is really resistant. i never thought to use a flat iron on her hair because her hair is thick thick thick.
well she asked me to do her hair with my FHI because she saw how my hair looked so i did it. she used salerm 21 on her wet hair and blow dried it. a couple hours later is when i flat ironed it. i didnt think to take pics becuase her hair always looks nice when its first done. its three days later thats the test. so that next weekend i saw her it was still shiny (i have her moisturizing with keracare cream hairdress and sealing with coconut oil) and i could run my fingers through her roots.
i didnt think to make this thread until another post reminded me. but alot of you are thinking of getting flat irons for this holiday. im telling you if you are natural the FHI will do it. i am relaxed and fine and the FHI works for me. my hair type is about a 3b/c. im sure my mom is a 4zzzzzzzzzz. she will relax her hair and a week later the roots are rediculous, i just dont get it.

anyway the model flat iron i have is a platform i think. its one inch.

Isn't it just the BEST!!! I'm so glad others are hopping on the FHI train. I am 3c, but ever since I went natural, my hair would not behave with my CHI. Now I am VERY faithful to my FHI platform 1" and my FHI Hot Sauce. LOOOOOOVE it!!!

Man this flat iron is EXPENSIVE. I'm reading the reviews on Folica and it seems alot of nappy folks love this iron from what the reviews and pictures show.

Can someone please recommend which FHI to buy? I think I"m going to get one for myself soon, but I don't know which one to get.

chebaby, i am happy to hear that the FHI worked on your mom's hair. I use the fhi runway curling iron on my hair every two weeks and i absolutely love it. My hair ends up so silky and shiny looking with good curl memory. smile.....

Determined22, if you want the best of the best, go with FHI Runway. It'll run you about 300 bucks :ohwell:

I also hear wonderous things about the Platform which costs about 130

I have the lower end 207 RVI that I got for 69 bucks and I  it. But a Runway is my dream flatiron

I really want to get the runway...its about $280 on Amazon

I may also get the platform because the price has been dropping since the runway came out. I would use it when I travel and when I am at school...I need to keep the runway safe at home!!!

I would get the runway hands down. I own both the runway and the platform and it's all about that runway. I'm natural and it gets my hair super straight and frizz-free.

Runwayyyyyyyyyyyyy -- and keep an eye on ebay auctions too - I got my little Platform for $107 on ebay.

That Runway is fab, but I can't justify spending that kind of money on a flatiron....The Platform could work though, but I'm cheap so I need a sale or a coupon code or something...

Thanks for the tip!
