FHI ON EBAY FAKE (I BUSTED THEM)

TrustMeLove

................
YOU ARE RIGHT RUSHGIRL..

See I played detective and I called the buyer online and they told me that the model I had was a new model that wasn't coming out yet and so it was a cheaper price to sale for retail. That they were coming out with it within in a couple months.

Then I called FHI because the number was in the box. I called like I was calling from a beauty salon and that I wanted to order some ceramic irons and she told me all about the models and then I mentioned that I had a client who came in with the YVI brand (the brand I bought on EBAY) SHE TOLD ME THAT WAS THE OLDER MODEL and that they were fazing that one out of the line.

Basically all the stuff the ebay people told me about it being IONIC was a lIE. Because she said the older model didn't have some of the same features yadda yadda yadda.

I got all this out by playing that I was calling from a Salon. Not to mention all those FHI red irons sale for 40-50 dollars if you call from a salon but if you buy it at the store its atleast 165..they are marking the prices up on us. 300% the profit.

Then I called the buyer online and made them give me a full REFUND with the shipping and handling because they basically were LYING. I once again let the girl do her spill about it being ionic and new to the market, then I busted her out right in the middle. She was like what leads you to believe its not ionic I was like sweety I spoke to the manufacturers. LOL HAHA Oh I wanted to laugh so hard, but I know that my coolness ate her up.

Do your research some things are too good to be true.

EBAY...(It AINT SAFE NO MOE) Haha

You go girl! Don't get me wrong...I love me some Ebay, but you gotta be careful. I just recently had my Ebay account shut down, b/c someone was trying to hack into my account (and such) to make purchases. Ebay is no JOKE!

Wow! Good for you! While researching what kind of ceramic iron to get I looked online at beautywalk and there were quite a few people on there talking about how they were scammed: they had ordered a CHI iron from eBay and the vendor said that they would "upgrade" them to a FHI. Meanwhile, they were being discontinued and THAT'S why they were offerring them up so easily! Plus, they had electrical problems. Isn't that something?

Kudos to you!!!

I think that's the same one, but RushGirl says that she has this one and loves it. All I know is that I looked on folica.com and looked it up and it says "discontinued". That plus all the other stuff I heard about it kept me from buying it. I just didn't need the hassle.

No the RVI with Red Plates seem to be legit. Alot of the people on the boards have the RVI nad have great results. Those are the ones im talking about that cost 40-50 dollars but we are charged 165 dollars for them.

But the YVI that cost around 50-60 dollars online with the yellow plates are the ones that that im talking about. The vendor made it seemed like it was equal to the RVI with the red plates but they aren't its a much older model and doesn't have all of additions that they claimed it had.

But truthfully I woudl only by a Chi or the FHI RVI. But since im not giving up that type of money im going to stick with the Sallys ceramic flat irons im taking my helen of troy back to try out a Jibere.

Who did you use? I think we should start a post with the name of ebay sellers that we have had good and bad experiences and what we bought, so we know who to avoid.

I used smartdealsonline.

Run for them because they aren't even truthful when you call them up about their product.
