I like clairol radiance.

I do too. I've used Jazzing, Adore, Sebastian, and Clairol. In order of preference I would say;

Clairol
Sebastian
Jazzing
Adore

I think that the Clairol Color Radiance gives equal if not better results than the Sebastian's at a fraction of the price. You can get it at practically any Sally's Beauty Supply in the color aisle. You'll need to buy the Color Radiance infuser as well as the clear gloss, but that shouldn't run more than $10.

it is a really great product. But I really don't like jazzing at least not in colors. The blue black one made my hair break so much that I clogged my drain.

I am very interested in a clear rinse. However, I already get a dark brown rinse put in my hair to cover the grey. How would I get the benefits of both covering my grey and using a clear rinse? My hair is a 4a/4b relaxed.

Thanks.

I have a questions about rinses too- Early this summer I dyed my natural hair a medium brown w/textures & tones color. Now that the color is growing out, I really would like to get my hair one color again- probably dark brown or black. Would a dark rinse be able to darken my light/med brown hair? I know it's a stupid question, but what the heck!? :look: Also, what are the recommendations for rinses for natural hair?

You could mix the clear and the color together. I had my stylist do this when I was using a dark rinse while my old highlights were growing out.

I am relaxed but using a dark brown rinse did work for me while my old highlights were growing out.

Do any of you ladies do co-washes? If so, then how often do you apply the rinse? I also heard that it only lasts a couple of weeks and I was worried that the co-washing would reduce that time even more.

I am interested in getting a clear rinse but I have a touch up due in a couple of weeks. Is it okay to get one now or should I wait until after my touch-up?

That's what I was wondering. I'm relaxing in about two weeks. I think I'm going to hold out until the first time I wash my hair after my next relaxer.

Several ladies have said that the rinse and the relaxer can be applied at the same time, why not try that?

I was thinking about doing the rinse myself to save money. But I'll be going to a stylist to get the relaxer.

Okay ladies, I need a little help here. I've purchased the Sebastian Colourshines clear rinse, but haven't received the product yet. I just got a touch-up last weekend along with a dark brown color rinse. Next weekend, I would like to put the clear rinse on top of that.

My question is, Where would I fit the clear rinse into my shampoo, deep conditioner, and other miscellaneous products regimen?

Do I:
1. Shampoo
2. Clear Rinse
3. Shampoo out excess rinse
4. Deep condition, and then
5. Apply miscellaneous products such as a leave-in, gel, etc.

And to be quite frank, how do you even use this product? Do you just pour some in your hair, apply heat and leave it in for a specified period of time? I know the instructions are included in the packaging, but I just wanted to get a heads-up so that I can get my strategy together.

Thanks much.

``Relaxer and rince the same day``
I have done that several times, without problems.

Those are the steps that I usually follow. When you apply the rinse, you want to make sure that you really saturate all of your hair with it. I usually seperate my hair into sections and squeeze it onto the different sections and then make sure that I work it down to the ends. Then I cover it with a plastic cap or saran wrap. I think the directions say that you sit under heat for 20 minutes. Then you rinse, shampoo and condition and style. Rinses usually contain some sort of wheat protein, so when I'm doing the final rinse/shampoo/condition, my hair might feel a little stiff. But once it's been conditioned and dried (I usually rollerset), it feels really smooth and soft.

I have used Jazzing's clear rinse before, and it was GARBAGE. Didn't look or feel like I put anything in my hair!

A long time ago I remember my beautician putting Sebastian Colourshines on my hair and it came out so lovely. :)

I bought the Sebastian Colourshines from BargainSide.com for $19.99 + S&H. That was the best deal that I found. I will keep you up to date with delivery information and of course...results when I use it. Thanks ladies for all your input, advice, and votes! :D

Okay, I promise I will! And I will take pics afterwards.

Here's a question...is this okay to use right before an event I have? I just don't wanna have any accidents, it is minimal risk, correct?

I usually apply my rinse the same day as my relaxer, burns like HELL!! The shine is unbelieveable though!

Question...if I were to use my rinse tomorrow, would I still have super shine in like 2 weeks? Also, how often can you use this product? The directions don't say.

When I apply my rinses, the shine & sleek appearance lasts for about 2 washes, so just about two weeks. If I throw in several CW's, then it lasts less than that. The first time I had the rinse done at the salon, it was combined with my conditioner for a "super conditioner" but I didn't notice too much shine, just a smooth cuticle. The next time I applied it on my own and rubbed it into my hair alone for a good 20 minutes, and the shine was blinding!

Also, I'd have to find the thread, but I believe it's safe to apply the rinse on a monthly basis. I do them every 4-5 weeks. I'll try to pull up that thread for ya.

I agree. I think the blinding shine will fade fastest, but the affects on your hair will last longer, i.e., smooth cuticle, less frizziness, etc. It's been a month for me and with twice weekly washing, my hair still has a healthy glossy look to it.

Colourshines are awesome. I have a bottle of clear that I tote with me to the salon, but you can also apply it at home quite. The error factor with this type of product (esp. being clear and not a definite color) is quite low (Definitely smells better than the Aphogee ;) ).

I've also tried a mix of colored rinses from Colourshines (Ginger and Walnut) and liked those results as well (mixed and applied in the salon).

Out here we call them cellophanes. It's what Sebatian used to call them. Now we just use it as a generic term but I ALWAYS do them before I get my hair "done" I do them at home and use adore. Great Shine ery' time. :)
