I purchased one this evening and it goes all the way to 500 degrees. Does anyone else use one?

I am natural and I don't want to damage my hair. I only want to use it to touch up my roots for straight styles. What would you consider a safe temperature but will get the job done?

The same safe temp that people are using for their flat irons.. i saw on here people getting decent results with less than 300 degrees. but idk about all that lol

i always use it at 400 on my natural hair. any lower is a waste of time. i found the flat iron to be more damaging compared to the comb.

Never worked out for me. I like using the Maxiglide instead. Oh....it also never got hot enough for my hair. We are probably talking about different brands though.l

Which comb is it? I need a new one and I like the idea of temp control.
