I am in need of a relaxer, but I colored my hair so I have to wait till at least the end of the month. However, my hair was feeling pretty dry before then. What should I do?

I have fine hair and use Mizani/Keracare products...sometimes Pantene.

Right about now though. Nothing is helping. I seriously feel like cutting it even shorter.

Any advice?

do a pre-poo then a dc with heat after shampooing and see what happens. my weekly pre-poo mix is food grade whole leaf aloe vera gel, evco and whatever condish i have around the house ( mill creek, aubrey's or natures gate). i cover my hair with a plastic and leave it in for for 1-2 hrs with no heat or under the dryer 20-30 minutes. don't rinse it out put your shampoo on on top of it then do a deep conditioner with heat for about an hour. try doing this once a week and mositurize and seal several times a week, too.

Wow, this question is coming up at least twice a day. We must be having a very dry winter, lhcf ladies! This is my suggesstion (w/castor oil--or ur choosing), it saved my dry hair streak that lasted the whole duration of my journey: http://www.longhaircareforum.com/ha...-discussion/150965-dont-sleep-oil-rinses.html

Also, here is a divine prepoo, although I would suggest you lay off the shampoos and just do a cowash; but if you choose to shampoo, remember, they are very stripping, so it undoubtedly has something to do with why you are dry---and you should do a prepoo to save your hair from further stripping, here's the link: http://www.longhaircareforum.com/ha...09482-you-need-moisture-drenched-pre-poo.html

You could stem it effortlessly with a white hand towel, shower cap and a moisturizing conditioner of your choice. Wash, detangle, apply conditioner and pile neatly up on top of head, microwave wet clean towel for 3 min., carefully apply and wrap around head, apply shower cap, wait 15 min. You can repeat the hot towel a few more times. Rinse hair with cool water, apply no drying heat or blow dryers. Maybe bun it with a leave-in creme to smooth it down. Hope this helps.

I have got say it's time for the good ole kitchen remedy. HONEY! Just add it to a conditioner and use a plastic cap for about 2hrs. It works wonders.
Here's what I actually use..
2 tablespoons, molassess, honey, coconut oil and olive oil and mix with Cheap Orange Cholestrol conditioner.

what's the measurements of your prepoo and what does not washing it out before applying shampoo do?

Don't know about her measurements but not washing it out just keeps the hair moisturized before hitting it with the harsh shampoo that may add to the drying out of hair.

I have found SCurl to be a savior! People often mention it, and so I went out and bought it. My hair was constantly dry, but now I have pretty soft hair 10 weeks post bkt.
