Drinking water changed my life in a week

Is anyone drinking lemon with their water? I have 2-3 cups of green tea a day, along with a whole bunch of water/w lemon, and my appetite has become very low. I wonder if it's the lemon?

:yep: Water is the best!

I grew up with a water cooler and no soda in the house but as a teen, I started getting into soda - esp Ginger Ale and Coke. Last year, I stopped drinking soda (replaced it with seltzer - great for ladies who want the refreshing fizz without sugar) and gradually weaned myself off cranberry juice (my absolute fave beverage). Now it's just water and light soy milk. I aim for 2L/day but maybe I'll try for more. I'm generally just not that thirsty for anything which is my main barrier to keeping on top of my water game.

Great thread, OP!

I know right! This was so weird to me but living in different places I met alot of different people and ALOT of people don't drink water. They say they don't like the taste yadda yadda. It's bull. To me there is NO excuse not to drink water.

I have to disagree. I actually dislike the taste of water and do not drink it as much as I should because I have to mask the taste; I have to put a little lemon juice in it just to be able to force myself to drink it to cut down on calories...and yes I drank a ton of water as a kid. As a health professional I definitely know and understand the benefits, and yes, our bodies NEED it as is essential to our composition and bodily funtions but not liking the taste of water is not "bull." In fact, your diet can provide a large portion of the daily amount of water you need. In the average adult diet, the things you eat provide nearly 20-25 percent of your total water intake. The remaining 75-80 percent comes from different types of beverages. Teas, sodas, etc do count in your liquid intake but should be limited due to their sugar/caloric content.
