That is wonderful. It made me tear up too. I discovered my curls after my mom died. So she never knew that she DID pass on her pretty hair. Of course she's watching in heaven.

Oh my gosh!, I'm tearing up. Love it! I don't know why I didn't go natural before but I'm enjoying my hair so much now that I want to kick myself for waiting to so long. I never thought of going natural until, I don't know what happened. I dedicated a lot of time, money, patience, products into my relaxed hair and I was never ever happy about the way it looked. After I decided to go natural, well lets just say I believe all that love is going to pay off with my natural hair. Now I have hair growing back in areas that were burnt-off with relaxer over time and refused to grow. All I am going to say is I promise that I will never put another relaxer into my hair. I also want to add that I really did not hate my curly hair, it was difficult to manage, I didn't have/know/what products to use but I never really hated it, I just didn't understand how to make it work for me.

Finally, I want to thank God for the Internet and the people on there who share their pictures, regimes and stories with people like myself who is in love with everything hair.

Oh Jeesh! I'm so glad that I didn't watch this at work. People would have thought that I was looney sitting there teary-eyed!

They show few 4-ish AA women, but please know, AA women have fueled this entire movement. They dare to say, "this is my natural hair, get over it!" I almost teared up. SMH. Some of the YT comments are stupid. First world problem? LOL...no. People and their livelihoods are impeded because of curl and color. I love this commercial.

Do they have a curl shampoo/condish now?

I mentioned this in other posts, but embracing my natural hair was freeing and oppressive all at the same time. Today, she is curly and amazing and we are friends (tomorrow might be different :whip: ).

I am still finding my way...:wink2:

OMG I love this commercial. I just watched the DOVE commercial on YouTube. Their campaign is so positive and inspiring. :)

How cute! It surely did its job. Unpopular opinion following...I didn't love that first head of hair either. It looked like she was in dire need of a trim and dc. Anywho. Adorable commercial!
