I know other people can relate to this.
I've always loved long hair but here's the catch... I've NEVER had long hair. I wore a lot of braids and extensions back then thinking that it would make me prettier so, I never showed my natural hair in public. I have a few friends who were born with "long hair" and they would ask my brother "how come he has good hair and me and my sister (caribeandiva) did not?." They're always asking me when am I gonna put my hair down. I always tell them "when I reach my goal length and I just dom't think it's long enough yet." Can you believe one of them actually told me "how are you gonna do that? black magic?" I just looked at her and laughed my ass off... I didn't lose my cool because I know what I'm doing. Well, When some of them FINALLY saw my hair down. I had just gotten a dominican blowout so you know what I mean lol. They were like OMG! your hair is so long and it looks like white people hair and they couldn't help but stare... I just think it's funny because I haven't even broken APL yet lol. I'm at awkward stage for now and they think that's long.



Don't you just love to prove people wrong? especially when they're the one who told you it was impossible?

I love proving ppl wrong. They just talk about what they THINK is good for hair and think I care way too much. But their faces when they see my hair straight and silky and long (APL) after a relaxer is priceless and the source of some of my motivation
